Perfect gift for nerdy dads
I got this for my father on his birthday since he’s a major Transformers fan since he grew up with the franchise. He told me he adored it and he thanked me for getting him this since he’s been searching for the manga for ages.

Great throwback and vintage manga art!
Love the collection and for those new to manga or simply American transformers this is a right to left book. Great black and white art and color gallery at the end

Nice Book, but too short
This is a nice hardcover with quality pages and a nice sized collection of art at the end. These manga chapters serve as sort of a companion to the original cartoon series and read like individual mini episodes. I was entertained throughout and preferred these stories to many of the episodes in the actual show.My only complaint is that it is too short. You are essentially paying $20 for something you will probably breeze through in one sitting. I feel like they should have combined this and the 2nd volume instead of expecting us pay another $20 when that is released. It’s just not enough content for the price tag.

Superb.
Great book.Bit odd in that it’s back to front ( how it would have been originally laid out and read in its original guise ). But that just adds to its charm. Can’t wait for the next couple of releases.

Too advanced for little readers
I must admit i purchased this book with intention to read it to my 5 year old who is into Transformers, however i have found it too difficult myself. I also didn't understand that the book is written and meant to read backwards. You start from the back page and read pages right to left. Apparently, this is obvious to true Manga fans, but not for this dad who thought it would be a cool Transforms book.
