Overpriced and Doesn't Really Do What It Is Supposed To Do.
I cannot believe that this item received 5 stars in ratiings. Also I cannot understand why there is only 2 companies that even manufacture these items. Because of a wrist and shoulder problem I originally purchased one with a blue bottle that worked pretty well except in no time it began to leak from the small silver rivet in the bottom of the bottle. I purchased another one with a different top and this top did not provide the strong stream of water that the original one had so I used the original top on the new bottle. The second one also began to leak after a while. The second one had a bottle that was larger than the original and with that amount of water did the job. I then purchsed this one based on the 5 star ratings. Well the bottle is SMALLER than the other bottles and the stream it provides does NOT do the job cleaning in the back. The plastic is a cheap plastic that you could put shampoo in!I don't believe that the people that make these items have EVER had to actually use them!!! I have put it in the car in case I need it in the road!My take is that if you really need it go ahead a purchase it. But don't expect anything from it!

Good in theory, but not practical enough to use in the field. TP is still easier.
I purchased this as a lightweight backpacking solution. In theory, it is! But I haven't used it in the field for a number of reasons:(1) It just seems like an awkward thing to carry because the attachment doesn't fit neatly into the bottle (it rattles around). You should be able to screw the nozzle back into the bottle in reverse so everything's self contained. I'm not sure how to carry the attachment (I don't want it touching my gear and don't want to carry something extra just to protect the glass.(2) Glass - why? It seems fragile and I don't want to break it in a heavy pack.(3) It should come with an extra cap for the bottle so you can carry water inside the bottle (then when you need it, the water is ready to go and you don't need to grab your hydration system to fill it). If you're in a rush, I can't imagine this being a quick process.(4) Carrying the extra water it requires to use is heavier than a roll of TP.(5) Cleaning the device when backpacking seems like a mess all by itselfI'll give this 2 stars because it's a decent idea, but need to subtract a few stars because it isn't practical enough for real-life use. Not to mention it's way over-priced for what it is. It's still in the package, collecting dust. I can't return it because the product isn't available anymore and the company has no online presence anymore.

Best Invention Since Sliced Bread
There really is a better way to do "things," and this is it. It's easy, no-fuss, and truly makes for that "shower-fresh" feeling. Not only that, it's so portable that I bought another one for travel. There's no real "cleaning" of the bidet, itself, since it doesn't touch anything but merely sprays, so just a superficial rinse of the sprayer under the faucet after unscrewing it from the bottle, inverting the sprayer wand into the screw-top plastic bottle, and it's good for next time. The plastic bottle is pliable and you just squeeze it to get the spray going.UPDATE: 11/22/14:This little baby is still going strong. I'm so impressed with its quality and the folks who manufacture it. Some personal bidets had lasted a week, a month, maybe a tad longer, but it was the squeeze bottle that ended up leaking. The Boulder Bidet's squeeze bottle has been squeezed hundreds of time since I first bought it and it's still going strong. I have one for the home bathroom as well as the RV bathroom. Wouldn't EVER be without it. It's a five-star product.

I would recommend it for anyone who doesn't want to cart around ...
I would recommend it for anyone who doesn't want to cart around their TP bag in their bear canister/bag. In yosemite, if you come by an exasperated ranger they're known to ask to see your TP bag and its generally just a douche move (and against the rules) to not pack out your TP (especially since so many people visit there every year). Also they often have elevation restrictions against fires (as I'm writing it, they've setup one for above 6000 feet..which is most of the John Muir trail) so theres no hope for burning unless you want to take your chances with burning TP over your stove. Boulder Bidet all the way.

Try it you'll like it!!!!
Read the reviews, bought it anyhow. Do not know what people are expecting. It is plastic, not guaranteed for life. If you get a few months out of it that is fine, if you like it, buy it again. Otherwise spend a boatload of money & get a REAL bidet!I love it, does just what it is supposed to do, where it is supposed to do it! Squeeze gently, let the bottle get some air in it, and you won't have the "sound:".I have an extremely small bathroom, my feet are almost in the tub when I am on the throne, found it getting harder to clean with no room, this is awesome, does the trick. I am going to enjoy all the toilet paper & wipes I won't have to add to the environment. Yippee.Try it, you'll like it.

Does the job
Purchased this after buying and using another brand/type of portable bidet. Not much to say but it gets the job done without leaks which is a plus. The other brand I bought which is a different type of portable leaks and can be messy to use. The Boulder Bidet doesn't seem to have that problem so far anyway. It has a longer neck but it's not a major selling point with me. I personally think it's priced way too high for what it is. It probably would be a dollar item if used for any other purpose. I wish I could find it in a dollar store. I guess I would recommend it if there were no other recourse. If I could have found it for less money I wouldn't recommend buying it for this price.

Bidet Bottle
it is just a squeeze bottle, I have buyers remorse. The directional sprayer is taller than the bottle so when it is not in use, it is awkward to store. When I read the description I was sure it came with a carry cover/case, but I could be confused by others I looked at.I am not sure what I was expecting. The product does what the description says, and the manufacturing is fine.My dislike has nothing to do with the quality - that is fine.

Handy for home use, but a little akward for travel
I wish they had made the bottle thinner but longer, with a two-way cap...so you could easily flip the cap and store the tube inside the bottle. That way you could transport it without worrying about breaking or losing the tube.
