I have only had my bike for 1 day, so keep that in mind.Fast, and powerful! The motor is very quiet, and I can zip up hills with ease.I will be using this as my main commuter bike, as I have asthma and a couple hills on my way to work really give me some problems. I wanted something that I could still pedal, but would give me an easier time up the larger hills, and get me to work without breaking a sweat. I found it!For a bike 55LBS is pretty heavy, but unless you are lifting it upstairs the added weight it helpful for snow/sand commuting. You will not notice the added weight while riding.I am also only 5'3", and I can reach the ground with my tip toes if I am on the seat, but easily get on and off with the U shaped frame.I am also overweight at 147LBS, but this bike has no problem doing top speeds going uphill with my weight.Cons: The company does make some Panniers for the Ebikes, but you can only put 10LBS over the battery. No bueno. Front basket or backpack for commuting.I wish it came in more colors... but I'm not really sure that should be a con, just me being picky.Pros: Everything else. Seriously, great costumer service (I couldn't figure out how to put the handle bars on because I'm an idiot) talked to a real human, that even called back to make sure my first ride went smoothly.You will love this bike, and this company!

We ordered two of them and have been using them all the time. I can go about 12-15 miles on a charge at mostly full speed with no pedaling. The center stand works well on hard level ground, but if the ground is soft or un-level, don't rely on it. I now need to replace a brake cable do to damage from falling over on the stand. I think that I'm going to look into purchasing a more stable side stand to replace the center stand that comes with the bike. Other than the stand issue they seem to be high quality, well built bicycles. I'm happy that I did not go with the cheaper Chinese made options on Amazon.

I purchased a Phantom for my husband last Spring and decided on the Stride 500 ( White) for me. I researched prior to purchasing his and reviewed again before purchasing my Stride. While these bikes are considered on the lower end or entry level for e-bikes, they are perfect for what we need right now. The bikes are well made and the rear battery rack issue has been addressed with a V-brace which seems to be pretty sturdy. Bike works great right out of the box - the battery comes fully charged. It was simple to put together - it really is only the handlebars and seat that needs to be put on, the throttle provides plenty of power and I love it in white.

After looking for a gas saving alternative, settled on this e-bike for cost performance. The purpose would be to handle those daily local runs to the store as well some range extending exercise. Chose the less aggresive plain looking step thru over the top bar version. Easier to mount and doesn't stick out.good1. easy to assemble, came assembled essentially2. comfortable seat3. adjustable handlebars are great4. foldable pedals5. comes with a moped like center kickstand6. runs quiet, the brakes didn't squeak either7. like the supplied bike tool8. nice upright seating positionimprovement1. for a step thru model add tire fenders, chain cover and running front and rear led lights as standard2. add a stainless steel front basket option3. redesign battery stand such that the space above the battery can be used. ie instead of having the battery sit ontop of the rack have it hang below it to free up the space above the rack.4. consider a built in fork locking mechanism, ie can not turn without key5. consider a lock mechanism for quick release, ie seat6. no flat tires, eradicate that back of the mind flat tire anxiety

What a nice Electric bike. No hill too steep. I have owned electric bikes for more than 10 years and this is the best by far. I had a few questions about assembly, etc. and the customer support was great. Very happy.

Battery doesn't behave very well in the cold. It seems like it's lost an incredible amount of capacity just a few months after purchase.
