It wasn't an edge of your seat kind of story, it was good. Not terribly long in the first of a series I can't wait to read the rest who doesn't love dragons?

The Dragon Shifters of Kahului series starts off with a very innovative storyline, where unique incidents occur and the supernatural is convincingly written. Characters have distinct personalities, whether they are human or dragon, and I felt as though I knew each of these individuals rather well by the story’s end. Protecting the human world from an evil threat is what motivates a group of dragon shifters, yet falling in love might come to be equally important. Brittany White had me eagerly reading THE ALPHA DRAGON’S SECRET in order to discover what would happen when duty clashes with desire.Although Sara Winter has worked as a chef in Hawaii to support herself, surfing is what brings her much joy. When an odd shape appears in the ocean one day, she is wary when four strange men show up at her home shortly thereafter and began making demands. One of them is Daegal Kingsford, to whom she is strangely attracted. It turns out Sara is the mate of the water dragon and future king of his clan. Believing in dragons is not easy for her, but thinking in terms of forever is even more difficult.I am always delighted to discover a new series about dragon shifters, and Brittany White has come up with numerous ideas that really grabbed my attention. Daegal and his friends are described like no other before, and I was fascinated by their traits. Their behavior had me laughing at times, as many years have passed since they were awake. Sara is definitely feisty, and the women with whom she lives are also lively in their own ways. As decisions are made and outcomes are revealed, I came to like these characters even more after seeing their honest reactions. Am certainly looking forward to more stories about these compelling individuals. Rating – 4.5 Stars

What a very Interesting introduction to this series of stories! Ancient sea dragons awakened from a centuries long hibernation by a voice warning the King of an old danger. Only to wake up into a different world than the one they fell asleep in along with it's many new customs and rules to learn. The first place they choose to do this is also a house of modern women surfers who are unwittingly their life mates too! What a combination for disaster and romance all in one place! Throw in a little intrigue and drama and you have a great book! I loved it start to finish!

Sara likes to surf. She lives with 3 friends to save on money since Hawaii is expensive. One day a pod comes out of the water and low and behold it's 4 dragons. They have awoken 1000 years later. What will happen next

This was a good story from start to finish. All the elements needed to entertain and cheer for the protagonists. I enjoyed the fluidity of the writing and the setting for the tale. As an introduction to a series it completely piqued my interest and I bought all the books, and I'm so glad I did!

So good- it was a quick, fast paced, enjoyable read. I can't wait to finish the series. Brittany White pulls you in a nd you don't want to let go.

This book drew me in in the first chapter. Loved all the characters. I hope you do sequels on the other dragons and Sara’s friends. I read this one in one sitting. An excellent and enjoyable read. This story was very well written. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

A fast moving, well written book. Liked the story and characters and look forward to reading the next book in the series. Some parts of the book went very quickly and the courtship lasted a day which is normal for these types of books. The conversations were good and be interesting to read about the others.
