Beautiful, But Slightly Problematic For A Few Reasons...
I purchased this deck last year. I wanted to give it time before I gave it a review. Now that I'm ready to review, this review is going to be a mixed bag - I'll explain.I ordered these because of the stunning artwork that I saw in the initial previews, and when I got them I was floored by the stunning presentation, design continuity, great card stock, and size of the cards. I wanted to love them because they're amazing, BUT - as I got more familiar with them, though, I had a hard time connecting with them for the following reasons:1. The deck touts itself as an "urban" deck, with the landscapes in the images obviously being modeled after NYC landmarks/lifestyles. However, I don't really see ME in these cards (I'm Black) in any real factual light, ESPECIALLY in leadership cards. My likeness is relegated to minor arcana and - as you will see from the sample pics - all the other basic ways that white people with very little experience interacting with anyone but themselves think about Black people. I'm not simply an athlete, a statistic, white arm-candy, or a poster child for a fictitious Post-Racial world.2. A few of the cards are extremely off putting. The most off-putting would be the Justice Card - A police officer's only job is to enforce the law - not to interpret it. To put a COP on the Justice card - with their record of INjustice, by her own admission - is terrible optics (you'd think the same author who created the 10/Oppression up there would be LESS tone deaf). I can barely stand looking at this card. Then there's The Emperor - another white man in charge, controlling policy. It's just so weird that the author seems to recognize oppressive systems, but keeps using this paternal, oppressive imagery anyway.3. The art is amazing (a little Dark Knighty), but the deck deviates wildly from basic archetypes to the point of being frustratingly self-indulgent.At any rate, you might want to buy this as a collector's item. I love and hate this deck and will likely only be using it for clarification/added information with decks that I actually am more comfortable using.

Nice deck but I definitely don't agree with some of the keywords
It's a nice deck, cardstock is pretty good. I just don't agree with a lot of the keywords they use, in fact, some of them I really don't understand but I guess all readers have their own interpretations. Normally in tarot, each card has a specific meaning, though it can vary a bit and mean something specific to an individual reader. But it's distracting and if someone trying to learn tarot starts with this deck, they will be learning incorrectly, in my opinion.I really don't understand the choice of removing the Kings and pages and instead using Knight, Queen, Prince and Princess. It is kind of confusing. Really confusing. If it were sold as an oracle deck, that would make more sense. For example, there is a Prince of Discs and the keyword is "the day trader"? What? Oh, well, maybe I'm knit picking. I like different kinds of tarot decks and appreciate different interpretations and I would appreciate this one more if it didn't completely change the page, knight, queen and king. Maybe I just don't understand and someone can explain who represents the king because it looks like the knight is actually the king or something? So confusing. But they are nice cards overall if you are just playing around or a collector.

Overall nice deck, but feel a bit baited and switched
I ordered the deck having seen photos of the major arcana. Loved The Devil and The Tower. When it arrived, The Tower card wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Extremely disappointed by this.

Very Nice
An updated, more accessible, 21st century version of the Thoth tarot. Very nice images and easy to relate to. My only complaint is that the cards are rather long which means I have to take a different approach to shuffling than I do with other decks.

Absolutely love
Box came banged up and some of the cards were bent but I decided to keep and I don't regret it. I love this deck very much and use it basically everyday. More modern deck still follows RWS but the author has spent years working on the deck and revising the cards. Definitely worth the purchase.

I like the cards but they’re too big.
There’s no reason why these cards couldn’t have been made the normal size. It’s hard to shuffle. Other than that I like them

Imponente obra de arte
Maravilloso.

Based off Crowley's Thoth Deck, re-imagined
Used my new deck for the first time today. Robin Scott's artwork is incredible, and her way of re-interpreting the Thoth Deck in an urban setting (New York City) makes it edgy and insightful. I love the depth of the artwork. However - the ways to interpret the card are not as descriptive as I would like.

I like this deck, but this is hard for me to read court cards.
I like this deck, but the name of court cards are not true to Rider Waite Tarot deck, so it might be confused to read them if you've learned how to read with Rider Waite Tarot when you were beginner. I'm one of them.

excellent
very excellent condition. Only used them twice, but it came in nice packaging. Although the guide book is a little small, but detailed enough. Loving it though.

Tarot de cartas grandes, mate y grueso. Arte urbano.
