You get what you pay for
This is the least-expensive hard plastic case of its size and type. While it's overall adequate, the fit and finish are a bit lacking. One of the pins that holds the latches is not seated properly. The slicing of the pluckable foam grid is uneven in spots, making it impossible to achieve a straight line cutout in some configurations. Worst of all, the inside of the case has a strong "made in China" plastic smell - I'm leaving it out in the sun for a few days before I put any equipment inside. On the upside, it cost one third of the price of an equivalent name-brand case. If you're willing to put up with such issues to save some coin, it's an otherwise perfectly serviceable case. If life's too short, I'd recommend a more well-known brand.

The quality of the foam is nice and includes two sheets of shapeable foam
It's not a pelican case, but you are not paying pelican prices. It's more flimsy than a Pelican. I use it to store my steadycam rig and vest. It's a tad smaller than advertised It might be because of the design of the interior. The quality of the foam is nice and includes two sheets of shapeable foam, plus bottom and top padding (the top one with pointy grooves).Good enough to store gear, but i will be more careful with this one than I am with my pelican.

Good case at a great price
First off this case exceded my expectations soon as i opened the package, it looks good and seems to be of good quality for "made in china", the latches are sturdy and tight and it opens smoothly, the foam inside is ok but a bit loose fitting but for the price its fine, i used a bit of spray adhesive to keep the layers in place and now its perfect, not sure about watertightness as i havent tested it but there is a good fitting seal as stated on it, once i took the time to cut the foam for my stuff to fit perfectly this product was well worth every $ i spent on it and saved a ton compared to the big name cases like pelican. I would recomend this to anyone looking for a decent case at an affordable cost

Not up to par. Very flimsy.
Really poor workmanship. Thin and flimsy is the best description. The one I received had clips that hold the fasteners WAY out of alignment. And a small crack along the bottom. If it's worth putting in a case, but a good case. VERY light duty.

Not waterproof/weatherproof at all.
If you need a waterproof/weatherproof case DO NOT buy this case. If you think this is a cheap equivalent to the rugged name brand cases, you are wrong. While this case will serve my purpose, as I expected the quality is lacking. The hinge side is lacking a center hinge, since the plastic is flimsy, it will never actually seal. I can press on the top of the case and a ton of air escapes through the seal. The "built in pressure relief valve" is not a valve at all. It is a screw with an o-ring that you have to open and close yourself. There are no padlock points, if that matters to you.The inside pluck foam quality is good. This case will protect your stuff from a rough trip as long as it is a dry trip. While the latches on my case are poorly aligned, they do stay firmly latched.Would I buy it again? Maybe. The price is barely in range for the quality I ended up with. Maybe their smaller cases seal better. But I'd never buy this case for expensive equipment. If I have something I just don't want to get banged up, then its perfect. But bang on it too hard and it will probably fall to pieces.

Very affordable and decent hardshell case for this size, but you get what you pay for
The media could not be loaded. For the price, this case is great. But, you get what you pay for! This is by no means a Pelican case so don't expect that. The closest pelican case as far as dimensions would probably be the Pelican Air 1555 Case With Foam (Black), but that case is 2x to 3x more expensive (and probably 5x the quality).Coincidentally, just like another reviewer, I am using it for my Korg Minilogue synthesizer for gigging and storage. I would not use this case for heavy touring, I would not trust it holding up if it was throw into the cargo bay of a plane and treated roughly. The hinge is badly designed and the weakest part -- it has a single flimsy pin that's very easy to stress and potentially break. This is the reason I gave it 4 stars. The plastic of the case is flimsy and the seal is mediocre at best. I wouldn't trust it to be completely waterproof. It would sustain water splashing on it, but I would in no way feel comfortable submerging it under water (like a Pelican case). For the Minilogue, it has a little room to spare on the sides. FYI I also have the Decksaver DS-PC-MINILOGUE Korg Minilogue Synthesizer Cover, to protect the knobs, and it fits perfect. This case is basically a step up from a light particle board flight-case. And it comes with pluck foam! The pluck foam is really low-grade quality and doesn't separate very cleanly in some places, but hey, I'm trying to be frugal here, and frankly glad it came with some sort of foam for this price. For my needs -- ie, light gigging, getting my synth to/from my car to the venue, and storage in the studio, it's great. It's also the same price as the official Korg soft case (the Korg SC-Minilogue), which doesn't offer nearly as much protection and I couldn't even fit the AC adapter.I'm very happy with my purchase but I'm trying to be succinct in illustrating the quality to anyone who's used to Pelican quality and considering this case. It's a decent LIGHT-DUTY case. Don't expect a combat-grade case. Don't expect a case you can stand on or throw off a cliff. Don't expect a case you an submerge under water during your trek in the amazon. If you don't expect that, I think it'll be fine with some light bashing, but any heavy use I think that hinge would be the first to disintegrate. Knowing those limitations, I'm very happy with it.

Nice case for the money.
Really nice case. I'm not too hard on it, I use it to carry quadcopters and gear. Looks and feels really rugged. Worth double the price for the protection. My toys are not cheap and they live a good life in this case. Great alternative to a pelican for what I need it for.
