Nice Pedal - Lots of possibilities available for the dough
I set out to explore acoustic simulators and whittled it down to three choices, but the Hotone Omni AC won me over. Out of all the pedals I watched videos on and read blog posts about, this one provided the most bang for the buck, and most convincing emulation of an acoustic guitar.I found that while out of the box you get some convincing sounds, it is necessary to go in and tweak things a bit. Trust me, it’s worth it. The variety of sounds available make this pedal more versatile than most, giving you numerous choices just a twist of the dial away. As for connectivity, I love that you can update firmware, and tweak settings in their proprietary interface (downloadable). This also infers that any improvements and additional sounds may be available for download in the future.Running this pedal clean, with some compression, and a bit of reverb, seems to give the sounds a little more dimension and substance. And here’s where it gets interesting: you can leave it on, turn on your overdrive pedal, and you have an entirely new guitar.I don’t understand how anyone could give this pedal a one, or even a two star review. I don’t t think they took the time to really explore it. For the money, this is an outstandingly well constructed pedal with guts worth exploring (and exploiting).

play with the EQ settings
I have been playing in and out of bands since I was 15, ok I'm 72 now and still rock'n . The need for one of my acoustic's at a gig is OVER! This thing is the NUTS !!!! Out of the box, not so much but set down in front of an amp and start playing . Turn "on" the EQ and find the sweet spot for each setting low, mid, high and presence... WOW ! When you are happy with the sound PRESS the "SAVE" and your Eagles tunes are gonna FLY! I love that you can run both the "acoustic" sound "OUT" and your electric sound "THRU" to get a very full sound. HOTONE (hot tone) really has a winner here. Also try your electric axe with the "acoustic setting", you will find that depending on the pickups you may have too much bass out of humbuckers and the "acoustic Setting" is better sounding on your "Bucker" axe! Single "PUPs" seem to sound more acoustic using the "electric guitar setting". Playing with the omni ac settings is a lot of FUN! Take your time and enjoy ! Jammi'n Jerry Bear, Delaware

Doesn't sound like an acoustic guitar
I have no idea how the Youtube reviewers like Brett Kingman are getting the tones that they get out of this pedal. All I can think of is that the reviewers seem to all be going directly into a computer. I tried this with a single coil Fender strat and a Roland Blues Cube amp, which has a very nice clean sound, and this pedal sounds terrible. It doesn't sound anything like an acoustic guitar. Is is being returned. Good luck if you buy one.

Enhance your clean tone
First off people, there is no such thing as an Acoustic guitar simulator that sounds exactly like an acoustic. They should really call them Acoustic Similars. Thant being said, I'm getting some really nice tones with the Omni AC. As long as you temper your expectations it's really nice. May be one of the best Acoustic Similars I've heard.

Feature packed but underwhelming for electric guitar
Sadly, I could not get a believable acoustic tone out of this thing when playing through any electric guitar I tried. There are tons of different models and a (frustratingly limited) EQ feature when you hook it up to your computer. I wrote to the company to ask for help but got no reply. They all sound vaguely acoustic, better than an electric tone if you really need an acoustic tone, but given how feature packed this thing is I'm surprised there seems to be no way to get something that sounds remotely like an actual recorded acoustic guitar. I've seen multiple reviews that say it took a lot of tweaking to get something good. Their web site has a community space for preset uploads for their pedals but as of this writing there isn't a single upload for this pedal.Speaking of those features, wow, this little box really has a lot in it. Aux In, Headphone Out, XLR out, on a pedal? Pretty handy! It's also got a standard out and a Thru out, and the software can assign what the footswitch does, though I was disappointed that the most useful (to me) option of having it switch from an acoustic tone through the output to the total bypass is not available.I should also note that I don't have my acoustic guitar with me to test so I don't know how useful it would be to change the tone of your electric acoustic and generally letting you plug it into a PA system, but I suspect it would do a great job.I will likely keep this thing for a while and continue trying to get it to be useful, but I'll also be checking out the old classic Boss Acoustic Sim to see if that delivers any better.

Exactly what I needed!
We have a 1 hour performance coming up next month in another state and the setlist called for acoustic guitar on one song. Rather than pack an acoustic guitar for just one song I decided to use a simulator. My research led me to this unit. So I purchased it, tried it out, and it is a good enough approximation for the one song that calls for it. Much easier to travel with than an acoustic guitar. Works for me!

Impressive addition to my gear.
I really like using this pedal with a reverb pedal. It is well made and has many settings and adjustments. My favorite is 07 nylon string. I like being able to get a classical guitar sound on my steel string hollow body. It has a nice sound.

Excellent acoustic simulation with many variations
I run stereo. I use this on a clean channel with a carvin Mach 100. I just run the chorus, delay and reverb on that channel. I also use it as straight acoustic (with an A/B box) great solo or layered. Love it! Get one!!!!
