Overall a good point and shoot
I have a few cameras in this category, a Canon Powershot SX730HS, a Panasonic Lumix ZS200 and this model Nikon. The picture quality even though it is fewer megapixels is better on the Nikon. Recovery time is good, the software interface is acceptable for image transfers. The software interface is one of the things I don't like about the Canon model. There is one thing that bothers me about this camera but that is just something to get used to rather than an actual problem. If you get anywhere near the viewfinder with a finger the display will go blank and it switches to the viewfinder. So if you are left handed this might be more of an issue. I like actually having a viewfinder so it is just something I will have to train myself for when not using it. I use these for work mainly and am taking consistent shots in groups of about 50 in the span of a couple of minutes. On the move for most part and this camera is comparable with the Canon in that category. I like the Canon a little better for this kind of photography because of that viewfinder issue I spoke about, but I think that will change with use. Zoom on both this camera and the Canon are good and functional, auto focus is quick response. The Panasonic zoom function does not compare to either of these but the Panasonic has a different function and set of abilities that neither of these cameras do. I like all 3 cameras and essentially I bought this Nikon because my DSLR is a Nikon and it is just easier to stay with one platform. The Snapbridge functionality is so much easier than dealing with Canoon Image Gateway. If I had to give them an overall rating the Nikon would be 1st, the Panasonic 2nd and the Canon 3rd. Only reason the Canon is 3rd is because of the software, it just really falls short of expectations, otherwise I would have to say it would be in the top spot overall.
