These collars normally sell for about $4 in my area. I purchased these because my cat is always losing his collar while hunting. I am so very happy with them. They are very light weight. The reflective strip is very bright at night. They have just enough resistance in the break away part, we have not lost one since we got them. Most importantly, there are no sharp edges of rough spots on the insides of the collar to chafe the cats neck. Love this product!

I love the little cat on the collar. The reflective strip works as well. Best of all, my cats have matching collars in colors they look good in (pink, blue & green). I gave my mom (black) and mother-in-law (yellow) a collar for their cats as well and still have one to spare (red). Considering that collars in pet stores cost about $8 each, this it's definitely a great deal.

They looked wonderful and we enjoyed having our cats have those little bells so we could hear them at a distance in our backyard. Collars are a good size, easy to adjust and are “good” breakaway collars.

So, my cat loses his collars. Sometimes 2 a month. I was going to PetSmart and getting breakaway collars there, and also an engraved tag. The problem was the cost - $10 for the collar and another $10 for the tag. So, paying $20 bucks a pop to protect Mr. Kitty just seemed a little rich.So I went to Amazon (as always) and found these Breakaway Collars. Woah. 18 collars for $12. Then, I started looking for tags. You can order engraved ones but they are too expensive, so I looked at doing the job myself. I found the pre-drilled disks and an engraver. The engraver was $15 and the disks were $12. You can see the finished engraved product on Mr. Kitty. Phone # is on the back. He has already lost 2 but no problem - I have 16 more! Total cost per collar - $1.67 each. That sure beats the $20 I was paying!BTW, the reviews on these collars are quite mixed - but I see people saying they don't release. Rubbish. They release just fine but I found the pressure required to be a little more than I would like. SO... I just took my new engraving tool, which has sanders included, and sanded down the prongs a little until I was happy with the fit. Super easy. I needed to return these and was foolish enough not to consider the "Money Back Guarantee" includes shipping options, all of which leave you with approximately $1.80 in actual refund. Amazon can be helpful, but not for returning small items. Leasson to self. Can't speak to the quality of the collar, except that if you do need to take it on and off, it's a stiff clasp and I think it would be challenging for a small cat to get it to breakaway. For pets will larger necks, it's okay, but I would not put it on a smaller animal as that extra material creates a loop that would be very easy for them to get a foot or jaw into and choke themselves.

I have 3 outside cats and I wanted to get them something that would be bright and let people know they belong to someone as they like to go on adventures. I was also looking for a collar I was able to put some bells on so they would not be able to "hunt" since getting these collars I have not found any more "gifts outside" and I am able to hear them playing outside as I did add another bell once I got my order in. I also like they are breakaway collars and they work really well at night when the light hits them.

I have 3 kittens - almost a year old - and have been putting these on a few minutes every week or so. Today they seemed to finally not fight to get them off so I kept them on. About an hour later one of my cats was flipping out and I could see he had it caught in his mouth. I caught him and tried to pull it away for him but this hurt him more because it did not break away and put more pressure on his mouth. I had to catch him and cut it off and now he has cuts in his mouth and I have bloody hands from his claws. These do not break away easily enough and I immediately removed them from my other two kittens. No way do I trust them not to get hurt.

The grumpy cat that my wife loves has been known to bring birds into our house. Hoping this collar/bell combo will help prevent such activity.

So far so good. I've only used one of the 6 so far and it's been a month. I don't have a medal for him, so I've written down my phone number with a permanent marker on the reflective band (and it's not fading away).They lose a star because of the cat-shaped clip. It's cute, but those little pointy hears aren't a good idea. Kind of annoying for the cat.

Love them.We have 6 cats and have bought other breakaway collars but they didn't breakaway at all. These ones do which is comforting because, as you know, cats are curious and wander. It's comforting to know they won't get stuck under something by their collar.

I gave one to my sisters cat and the rest to mine. The bell is a cute shape and not annoying. The collars are extendable and look like they can fit kittens too. All my cats are adult but range in size and the collars fit everyone. They are colorful and bright! Great reflection and pull apart closure.

Great. Love the reflector for my day that like to go outside exploring.
