Fun game!
Very cool game. It's fun to play, and doesn't take long to set up. The one downside is that the rules are a bit complicated. After a few games you get the hang of it.

Once we tweaked the rules its a lot of fun.
The components are great and the idea for this game is unique and interactive. The actual rules are not great though. We implemented a bunch of rules like you have to be an arm's length away to throw. You get points for knocking down buildings. We abolished the block system and just have the armies attack if they are in reach of the ruler. Also any attack for just the block is an attack on the entire board. We also are looking to make the play area bigger and instead of having to physically be touching you just have to be in ruler distance for the power ups to buildings and such. The game has a lot of potential but it needed a lot of work on our part to be viable.

Really enjoy this game
Initial thoughts: the rules aren’t bad by any means, but when learning there’s a lot to remember. I feel like even going forward now that I understand it, teaching new people may always have a “warm-up game.” I don’t know if that’s a knock against it, lots of excellent games have rules that aren’t simple. Anyway, we did lots wrong our first game, and lots of questions were asked, then rules consulted, then the game would change because our understanding changed. The good news is the game made more sense as this happened, and it got more fun.The good:The game is really fun once you get past the learning, which only took a few rounds. Because of the big damage you can put out, the game doesn’t take super long either. You can do three things basically after you roll: throw a car at a monster, attack a monster, or attack the military. Your powers and Smash Cards can augment this, or even let you do more than one. The other nice thing is that all of these seem viable strategies. After playing a few games I can say that I was successful focusing on throwing cars one game, and the next attacking the military. The game ends when one monster takes ten damage, so damaging monsters hastens the clock if you’re behind in points. The bad:The dice aren’t very heavy of course, so it’s hard to knock over the buildings. This could be frustrating, but it’s likely good design so the game isn’t super easy. The game comes with foam cubes that you put stickers on. I was a bit worried them coming off or tearing up. So far so good, no problems, but they out a whole extra sheet of the stickers in the box to either fix this problem or allay the fears of people like me.I can’t decide if this is a negative or not (to some people it might be), but the game can swing wildly in a single turn. Those Smash Cards that you get for knocking buildings down? Some of them are really, really good. And if you combine some of the cards together, they’re ridiculous. So my original thought that the buildings aren’t important was way off: after playing a few games I know how it really works:The buildings don’t get you any points, and it’s actually kind of hard, but it gets you Smash Cards, and those win you the game.I would recommend this game to people who want to game with their kids.I would recommend this game to people who love rolling dice.I would recommend this game to people who like monster fighting games. This game has a fair amount of randomness and a great amount of interaction between players. I’d give it 4/5 stars easily. Smash City is going into my high rotation list.

Fun & Quick
The game is incredibly fun and the art is amazing. There is a little warm up to getting all the rules. A single turn can wildly change the game and allow someone who's about to lose win instead.I'm glad it had an extra sticker sheet for the inevitable wear and tear of the stickers applied to the dice.

Pretty fun game. Also for kids
Not sure why this said for ages 14 and up, my 6 and 4 year old love it but I guess they don't completely understand the rules. However, it doesn't take a teenager to grasp the concept. The game is a lot of fun but we've noticed the games are really short at times. With 2 players we've finished in 10-15 minutes. Because of that we've had to supplement some of it own rules to make the game last a little longer.
