Correlle Urban Black Dinner plate 6 pack

needed microwave safe plates since we threw away some old plates we wree using and switched them to japanese made china. Unfortunately the china created sparks in the microwave maybe attributed to the metal in the paint and since i just bought it the microwave i decided to get just plates for the microwave. I chose corelle over the amazon basics due to reviews and also liked the black version instead of white just because it looked better. they are very light but sturdy no chips and best of all they are made in the united states so feel better than something made in china.

No idea why this has so many 4 and 5 star reviews. These were really thin and looked and felt like plastic. I can literally go right now and buy plates at the dollar store that are better quality and feel than these. I opened the box when they arrived took them out and put them right back in the box and got my money back.

The plates are okay. We ordered 2 boxes (12 plates total), and both boxes snapped open during shipping, chipping the edge of one plate. The Black circular imprint is well done, but not quite centered in the plates, and each plate exhibits some 'uniqueness' in shape. They are fine for our purpose and the price is certainly nice. Was hoping for more here, but you do get what you pay for.

Good looking like them. Wish they where thinker though but they will not break easy.

These are very nice. In one of my homes I have black and white dishes for an art deco look, so that whenever I need to add to them it is very easy! Corelle makes a good product and has for years. These are very stylish, and as one gets older, lightweight and durable is such a plus. Arrived quickly. I will buy again.

I have always like Corelle. I had a set years ago and because I had a set of "good" china I ended up giving the Corelle to a friend who needed dishes. I thought about getting more but always seemed to get some others free from family or friends. I was down to just two plates of the everyday dishes I had, so I decided to order these 6 dinner plates. I like the pattern, more my style.The biggest plus for me is the fact that they are light weight. Having arthritis most of the stoneware plates are just too heavy for me to lift out of the cupboard without worrying about droppitng them. These are no problem.Now as to dropping them. I have dropped Corelle plates/dishes in the past. One chipped and one shattered. The one that chipped hit the edge of the counter and fell on sheet linoleum flooring. I think the counter edge(remember the old metal counter edges?) caused the chip. The one that shattered was a dessert size plate that fell on a ceramic tile floor. And yes it did shatter like glass. There were slivers and sharp pieces, So I had to be extra careful cleaning it up. Now that's two times in, I'm approximating, a dozen or more clumsy drops on tile. They were also dropped on carpet and outside on the grass and never broke. So there is a risk. Just know what you're buying and weigh your options. I have also had stoneware and porcelain dishes break, actually more often. .And honestly I'm not a complete klutz, that all happened over 50 years of using dishes and it wasn't always me who dropped them. LOL

Plates are awful, the printing is smeared and chipped in some spots and one of the plates is warped so when stacked together it doesn't fit correctly.

Very thin and 2 were chipped. Go to a store and get it there so you won't waste your money!

Very bad looking dinner plates. I use everything Corelle but these are the worst- trust me. Returned them and got another set of corelle plates which are as fantastic as anything Corelle

Great plates! My 2nd time buying them (bought a 20pc multi set recently) and liked them so much I bought more. Lightweight, cleans and dries easily.
