The Physics Book: Big Ideas Simply Explained (DK Big Ideas) Hardcover – March 10, 2020

I'm giving this as a gift to my son for Christmas but I've looked at it and wow I am blown away by the quality of the book, the layouts of the pages, and the absolute amount of information that they have been able to put into it! I'm sure this will be a winner and I'm so happy I was able to find it!

My son is constantly asking me questions about physics. He has a very curious mind and absolutely loved getting this book as a gift. Highly recommend for fellow kiddos who love science, are interested in physics, and are curious.

Wow! this is an excellent physics book full color showing the entire history of physics.

I had heard that this was a good book for learning physics. While it is entertaining, and I have enjoyed reading it, there are no physics problems or solutions. It is more of a history book about who came up with what idea and the significance of those ideas. It give a small biography of the people that came up with the ideas, usually a couple of pages per idea. It is educational, and a good read, but if you are looking for a book to teach you how to solve physics problems this is not the book.

I ordered this book for my son's birthday. He was thrilled with it and started reading it immediately. He loves learning about science and is always watching science documentaries and reading interesting books about science. The pages are arranged with illustrations and text that describes the topic in typical DK-style. This book is a great choice for teens who are interested in science.

This book provides a great review of the principles, concepts and history of physics from the ancient Greeks all the way to string theory and gravitational waves. The concepts are succinctly put forward. This is an excellent review for anyone interested in the sciences without getting too technical.

I really just into the book and it is interesting, without being overwhelming. Everything so far has been interesting and well explained.

Beautifully written reference book on a variety of my favourite topics with plenty of pertinent illustrations. Written for the layman in a manner that one doesn't require a PhD to follow along. I have always loved physics and had downloaded this book on my iPad but when I started reading it, discovered that I wanted to own this book for posterity rather than just borrow it. If you love physics, you will love this book.

Super book, I rarely rate 5/5!. If you want to have a new fresh intro to the world of physics and applied physics then this is on of the best.

The book is very good for curious kids. I bought it for my 13yrs old, because he asked for a physics book. I checked many books online and found this very comprehensive in subject coverage, easy to understand language, explained with images. If your kid want to explore beyond course books, go for it.
