Had a problem with legacy DVI-equipped PCs connecting to 1440p monitors, since the monitor EDID would lead the video card to believe it could use dual-link DVI, which obviously doesn't work over an HDMI connection. The 1200p version of this dongle fixed the issue completely, and much cheaper than the programmable alternatives e.g. DVI Detective. Recommended.

I needed it to work with a cheap KVM. Display is 1920x1200. It allows flawless monitor switching between 2 computers without the computers going crazy. I use Windows 10.
