Fantastic for large campuses. We have 24 of these and they work perfectly. Very good range. I can get clear reception upto 1 km. It starts getting scratchy after that.battery life on normal mode is good. But on scanner mode it is less than 8 hours. For the price its still the best out there. I would give it 5 stars if battery life was better.

The only thing, No earpiece with the set, and they dont even mentioned it,you can buy this set of two walky talky without earpiece at 1750-1800, and externally add earpiece which costs 399 for two,Better deal than this, all they are fooling with price variation.

It has a decent battery life of stand by for up to 15 hours while on standby on very low usage...If not for heavy duty usage blindly go for it.

Great price, not as good quality as $250 pairs, but range is very very good, voice is light, breaks sometimes, but at the cost to replace you cannot go wrong. These are used at an 11 acer site in outdoors all years long 9-5pm and only two have broken in 1 year. Highly recommend to save money, try a couple first though to make sure before you order a bunch. A smart tip is to use electrical tape and tape the bottom of the walkie unit and battery back around each other. The first walkies a year ago broke from a fall and the plastic clip to hold the battery in place broke, since we put the tape around all of them a a precaution no issues.

This are a great set of radios, unfortunate i wanted to used them inside this old building and i think it was the thick walls of maybe connection we were getting a tons of interference. When i tried it outside in the open field it work wonderful. So i had to retuned them. I think this would make a better choice for outdoor usage, it is a long range.

We used this during our Florida vacation to keep in contact with the other families we was traveling with especially when we don’t have any signals to call each other on the phone. We was able to communicate for 12 hours straight going different speeds so the distance is very good!! Funny thing when we got to Miami we was picking up police signials too

My husband and my son love to play "army" so I bought them these for Christmas. Love that they are rechargeable. We have used them around the house just playing but haven't used them far away to see how they do with distance between us. They come with a head set but haven't used that yet either. Good quality, good purchase.

For the price they can't be beat. Does need the better antenna though. (abotu $2 or $3).
