Good way for an adult beginner to learn tap
I bought this DVD for my husband who wanted to learn some tap steps as a raw beginner. It's perfect for an adult who has never taken tap lessons before and is uncomfortable with the idea of taking classes at a dance studio. The verbal instruction is clear and easy to understand and the demonstrations are easy to follow. You can repeat each lesson as many times as you need to until you learn the step to your satisfaction. That isn't always possible in a studio class of limited duration with multiple students of various ages.

Excellent
This is excellent. Each time step is broken down in detail and then you get to practice with the instructor at a slow pace and then a faster pace. I highly recommend this. I personally was just trying to brush up on time steps (as I had stopped tap dancing for a while) and it was a great review. I had never done a traveling time step and found it very easy to learn how to do it...and I am slow at picking up things. So even if you are a beginner...if you know flaps and shuffles...this will work for you.

Great Start for Musical Theatre
My daughter does musicals. She's a singer/actor witj little to no dance experience. But she loves Newsies which has inspired her to learn some tap. Not to mention if she continues in theatre needs some basics dance anyway. However with our current theatre/school schedule we have no time to get to a dance studio so far this has been a great start.

My son loves it!
I bought a tap floor and this tap video for my son to practice with. He has been through the first part of the video a couple of times and he really likes it. I think it is helping him review tap moves, and it kept his attention. The film work is clear and easy to see, the people are good at explaining the moves. Overall very happy with this dvd.

This DVD was amazing! This is perfect for anyone who needs a ...
I am almost 27 years old and had danced growing up for almost 14 years. Taking a drop in Tap class after about 6 years off, made me realize I needed some brushing up on terminology and how to correctly do some tap moves. This DVD was amazing! This is perfect for anyone who needs a little update, and you can go at your own pace. It has made me more confident to go into the next class.

The instructor starts with the most basic steps and goes through them slowly and concisely so you can easily follow him
Purchased this for my husband who has always wanted to learn tap-dancing. He is thoroughly enjoying it. The instructor starts with the most basic steps and goes through them slowly and concisely so you can easily follow him. Just what the doctor ordered. :)

I have to admit I did have fun trying the steps
first, the disc was defective and one of the tracks only played half way throughsecond, why would they choose to have someone dressed in black demonstrate dance steps against a black background?third, I was hoping that the steps would be incorporated into some kind of a dance routine at the end--no such luckfourth, well, my fault, I just couldn't follow along with the instructions for the last of the time steps; the instructor really rushed through that one, having spent plenty of time on the earlier stepsfifth, I have to admit I did have fun trying the steps, even though I was not always successful

Tap Dance Made easy - Vo 3: Time Step Boot Camp
This is a very good way to familiarize oneself with a variety of time steps and also possibly increase agility and speed in dancing. Eli does a good job of demonstrating. But I wish he would come out with a video of interesting dance like Bonnie Franklin's.
