ChatterBox Tandem Pro 2 Kit - Black

I am HPDE instructor. The set has worked good with my students. I can control volume so when we are on the track and wind/car noise is louder I can adjust accordingly. I had one student tug on the cable, which damages the headset by pulling the wires for the ear piece. The solution is to create a strain relief. I do this by folding a small loop of the cable back to the boom for the mouthpiece and then use a piece of gorilla tape or similar strong tape around the cable and boom near the ear piece. Then when they tug on the cable, it is tugging on the tape and not the delicate 22 gauge wires connected to the earpiece. Battery life has been amazing to date. I have gotten the extension cable, so my students can wrap the cable behind them or under their arm so it doesn't interfere with driving or shifting.

Initially, one headset input was intermittent. It would cut in and out and I had to carefully hold it to keep it on. Difficult on track with a student.After the input was used a bit the problem went away and has been perfect the last 6 track days.Adding in after a few years of use. It's important with this unit not to cross the mini headphone jacks. Huge interference when they cross. I'm using this with a built in helmet mic and headset. I've had problems with student headsets. The wires pull out over time. I borrowed a friend's student headset last event and it worked perfectly. I'm on here to get another headset.I guess you get what you pay for. This is cheap and will wear out.

When it works, this device is great. But, this device cuts out frequently. It's not clear whether the weak point is with the plugs, headsets, or switches, but fussing with the volume switch seems to help. Nonetheless, it should not be this way from the very first time I used it.Other than being intermittent, the volume is great.

One side of the chatter box stopped working the first time I used it...sent back under warranty...we will see how the company takes care of things....nice headset.....when it worked the first time.........

Wish I can find a communicator that works for DE so I don't struggle hearing my students at speed. Had the old the chatterbox - same issues.Frustrating.

Best way to communicate with your student on track. Super reliable and clear. Great battery life as well.

Over priced and poor quality. I left it in a students car I was instructing at Road Atlanta and don’t miss it. They probably threw it away when they saw how cheaply made it is.
