Greenbrier2-ct. Set Glass Salt and Pepper Shakers

I wanted a simple salt shaker and these fit the bill. A nice size for cooking and the ridged glass looks very nice. Very pleased with this product.

This is a glass salt or pepper shaker that is square rather than cylindrical, and the glass is "corrugated" rather than a smooth glass, which makes them feel sturdy. They measure 6 inches in girth, and 3 1/2 inches high. The sides of the shaker are flat, but taper sharply toward the top where a round rim fits beneath the stainless steel cap. The shiny stainless steel cap has 13 holes arranged in the same pattern as a Chinese checkers board, i.e. a star with 6 points.I used these salt shakers to create gifts for my best women friends on Valentine's Day. My photos show you the shakers after I decorated them according to a gift idea from a craft magazine. I filled them with cloves or dried lavender blossoms and placed a cotton ball soaked in lavender essential oil or clove oil just inside the top of the shakers.I bought several types of shakers, and I will say these are the nicest of them, because the glass part is "corrugated" meaning there is a vertical design in the glass that runs from the top of the shaker to the bottom. On the inside of the shaker, the glass is smooth. The texture on the outside gives it some style, and it also is a more sturdy salt or pepper shaker due to the thicker glass, whichmakes it look and feel like a higher quality salt shaker.By contrast, the other glass salt shakers I bought for my project are are unremarkable. I would have bought more of this Greenbrier Salt and Pepper shaker set if more of them had been available at the time.

These shakers are perfect for our vacation/Airbnb home. They look nice and are easy to keep clean. Great value in my book.

These simple salt and pepper shakers are great for those times you don’t want fancy salt that you have to grind. Sometimes you just need fine table salt or even nice sea salt that is already ground into fine granules. These shakers are sturdy, simple, and don’t take up a lot of space. Easy to fill; the holes are the perfect size for a light sprinkling salt. Both bottles have the same hole pattern in the lids. Just what I was looking for.

I buy them to paint and upcycle for gifts!

I really love the style of these and am still happy with them even though the tops of all four that I ordered arrived with dents in them.

I use them in the kitchen to sprinkle cinnamon and Dutch coca powder on desserts and in cappacino daily. Perfect shakers

I chose this set because they fit in the space behind my gas cooktop and the backsplash wall, where I’ve always kept a set for quick access while cooking. I had a glass set that I loved but when my cooktop had to be replaced, they no longer fit in that space. These were narrow enough and the design was simple so I was hoping they would be perfect. They are packaged in a very flimsy plastic box and should have been placed inside of a sturdier box for shipping but, instead, they were in a bubble envelope. The reason this was a problem is that the tops are a very thin metal and easily bent so, when I opened the package, the tops had multiple dents in them from shipping. I was able to press out some of the dents using my fingernail (that’s how thin the metal is!) and some required using the hard plastic handle of a kitchen tool. They don’t look perfect but I don’t think anyone else will notice what I couldn’t fix. In the end, though, I shouldn’t have had to do this. The tops should be made with a stronger metal.
