Review: This Herbology facial serum is a nice treatment for mornings and evenings. It goes on smoothly and absorbs well, the fragrance is not too strong and it compliments my existing moisturiser. I’m unsure if it has reduced my facial lines just yet as I have only been using it for a short time, but it is a pleasant part of my skin regime and I will update here if I see any noticeable effects. As I have a very dry skin I usually avoid serums as I find they do not absorb into my skin and leave it feeling dry. I tend to use richer creams. However, I thought i would give this product a try and see how I get on. It is a light, silky serum that soaks in nicely but I have to use another cream on top due to my aforementioned dry skin. So from that point of view it is not a huge success. I decided, therefore, to concentrate this serum on my neck area which, let's face it, gets a tad wrinkly as one gets older and here it has been much more succcessful. I have been pretty generous with slathering it on, probably because I am not using it on my face, and have found it has improved the appearance and texture of my skin in that area, quite noticeably. At my age my neck is probably a lost cause but this has helped. The serum has a slightly clinical smell which I found slightly unpleasant but this is, of course, just my own personal feeling. Overall, a good product

My partner hadn't heard of Elemental as a brand but was loving giving a new serum a try, she said it went on very smoothly and felt similar to Boots Protect & Perfect in terms of look, consistency and how it applied. It smelt fresh and definitely left a nice glow on the skin afterwards, overall very impressed and definitely a premium product for those looking for something a bit special.

Having regularly used Boot’s No.7 Protect & Perfect for men, I was interested to compare Elemental Herbology Bio-Cellular Matrix Facial Serum and see if there was a marked difference, especially comparing the higher price for this product. I hadn’t used anything for several months before trying the serum and used it as directed; twice daily and for over two weeks. First impressions were that the serum was runnier than I had expected, and whilst the scent of Green Tea and Raspberry isn’t unpleasant, it isn’t particularly attractive either; I was left with the lingering impression that I had rubbed my face in some damp moss. The serum didn’t really absorb into the skin as much as I had expected, and for a couple of hours after applying I had a greasy feeling to my face. The ‘improved luminosity’ left me with a smoother, shiny looking face, which, although it had noticeable fewer wrinkles, made me a little self-conscious that I bore a passing resemblance to a wax dummy. As mentioned, the serum has noticeably reduced the appearance of fine wrinkles, especially around the eyes, and the general condition of my skin is much improved, feeling and looking younger. Is it a better result than Protect & Perfect? I would have to say that so far it does appear so. Is it worth the higher price? Quite possibly. But I still smell like a handful of moss.
