Rico Ligature & Cap, Baritone Sax, Nickel Plated

This does not fit well on rico mouthpiece. Would constantly slip up and does not hold reed well.

This ligature does not sit properly on the mouthpiece at all and keeps sliding when tightening. What a waste of money!!!

My daughter doesn’t like the screws touching her lip. This allows the ligature to be turned around and the band director not “call her out” for having it turned incorrectly. Plus the mouth piece cover is proof that ithe ligature does go that way since the mouthpiece cover only goes on one way.

This ligature does not fit the Rico mouthpiece at all waste of money do not buy !

This ligature is shaped to make room for the reed under four little dimples. Unfortunately, the shape of the ligature is such that it doesn't fit on a standard rubber mouthpiece well at all, and tends to slide around unless you tighten it very tightly.Due to the excessive tightening required, the "dimples" permanently indent the reed, and besides that, some sax players (myself included) think that having to tighten a ligature very tight affects the sound. Just not a good concept, in my opinion.The only way I made the lig work was to use a hammer to convert it to the traditional round/oval shape with a hammer, flattening out the dimpled area.

I'm not a huge fan of two-screw ligatures, but this one works, is low priced, and has the same great cap as the Rico H-Ligature. The cap grips the mouthpiece securely while in place and completely protects the reed, but it is ribbed and made of pliable material that slides easily on and off the mouthpiece when you want it to. The Rico ligature is not as convenient as some, and I debated rating it only four (4) stars. But the price is right and the Rico ligature is convenient enough once you use it a bit.

Needed to replace my daughter's broken ligature, and this did the trick! Wanted something a little better quality than the last one. This one fit the bill! Thank you!

Nice ligature, and nice looking cap, but the cap does not fit my Yamaha 4C mouthpiece, which is strange because the Yamaha 4C is a classic and it is a standard mouthpiece. Possibly, the cap is made only for Rico's mouthpieces. In this case, they should say it in the advertisement. I could have saved a few dollars buying only the ligature.

Gone off Rico stuff. Wanted it for a Rico mouthpiece using Rico reeds. It was useless. Bought another ligature from a local music shop and very pleased with it.

This product is superb quality and was delivered in in first class condition very quickly. Unfortunately is too small for my Yamaha mouthpiece, even at it's widest it is not possible to get a reed between it and the mouthpiece. It fits my Tenor Yamaha mouthpiece perfectly and as luck would have it I like it very much for that instrument so it is in use and does not need to be returned. My advise is to carefully check this item will fit your Bari mouthpiece before purchase. Shame really cos everything else is good.

this item doesn't work on a yamaha Bb clarinet. Son complained that he spent the whole of his music lesson retightening ths ligature and it just kept slipping upwards.

The ligature does not fit the Rico mouthpiece on my b flat clarinet. Useless. Avoid.

Useless ligature. Slips off all the time. I thought I was buying the H version of this ligature which I bought recently for my daughter and works well. This one is terrible and even slips off when playing. Don’t buy!!!
