Reading Rainbow: Music, Music, Everywhere [DVD]

Great video to teach jazz and instruments. More than reading the story. Included are instrument demonstrations and suggestions for other books on the subject. An invaluable teaching resource!

This is such a wonderful show, and the episodes on this DVD are great! We enjoyed the music and the book reading and review (Hip Cat is a fantastic book); the interview with jazz musician Joshua Redman is wonderful. My little one loved it; it was a great introduction to jazz for her. I definitely recommend this DVD and indeed this series. It introduced us to some great stories for children. I bought this DVD along with copies of the two books that were read in the episodes, and it made a great present! Educational and enjoyable!

I thought this would only be the two stories but they actually do a explanation/demonstration of improvisation before the story.

Absolutely love these episodes! My son loves the music, storytelling and seeing other kids create!! A great buy, 2 for the price of one!

so glad to see this is still available for my great grand children., used it when I taught elementary music.

I am very pleased with this great DVD especially since it has great stories for children, and teachers, like me, can use it in the classroom. It was a great buy!
