Wisdom of the Sand: Philosophy and Frank Herbert's Dune (Critical Bodies)

Given the lack of reviews, I took a $25 chance on this book, and I was not disappointed. If you had the intellectual energy to make it through the Dune Chronicles, you will find this commentary a profoundly enlightening companion. The author, Kevin Williams, unearths much of the rich philosophy embedded in Frank Herbert's masterpiece, whilst simultaneously instructing the reader on historical, social, and metaphysical theories. If you desire to come to a greater understanding of the themes contained within Dune, and how they relate to real-life philosophical discourse, I would highly recommend this book.
