Apprehensive At First
This being my first experience with wading boots/stocking foot waders, I bought these before I purchased my waders. I purchased my regular shoe size of 11. Upon arrival I tried them on with two pairs of similar socks that I planned to use with my waders. They were extremely roomy, and I was very apprehensive that they would fit even with the stocking foot booties. My waders finally arrived, and much to my pleasure, they fit perfectly. I went out fishing yesterday and did a moderate amount of wading over a spread of about six hours, and they were very comfortable. I wore merino wool socks over Nike moisture wicking socks and the booties of my waders are 4mm. They seem pretty durable and drained moisture out fairly well. Don't be surprised when you take them off and find a bit of water to dump out. They do take quite a long time to fully dry after use, but for a product that is meant to be wet, this doesn't really bother me. Great for the price if you can get them on sale as I did! Will update with any issues in the future if the need arises.

Sturdy, light and comfortable
For studs I recommend Jeekvisen wide-auger thread tungsten carbide, 15mm length. I coated the threads with rubber cement, then drilled them in. Best traction I've ever had on the river.

Best price wading boots for the money
I have already purchased for boots and I use them strictly for trout fishing and hiking the mountains to get to my streams high by the felt pair and I use them especially still had fishing. The average lifespan of a felt boot is about two 2 1/2 years yes, you’re an avid fisherman and fish at least 50 times a year for the price I purchased more than a pair for the simple fact that I will not be replacing the felt with new felt frog togs a very good boot. I would rather do the felt which is a safer material on slimy rocks. Granted, it can be kind of tough on grassy Meadows, for there is no grip on the boot , I did have a Redington Skagit boot with a sticky rubber bottom, which did not work on the river bottoms, even with spikes the metal spikes did wear down and it became more of a hazard to wear them so I am now strictly a felt guy any kind of boot with felt regardless if it’s frog togg, Simms, or an Orvis boot . Frog tog boot is a good quality boot, and like I said, it’s never fell apart on me outside the fact that they felt will wear down

Good wading boot
I purchased this wading boot while on vacation to replace an old worn pair. The price was very reasonable. I have worn these boots 20+ times over a 3 month period. They appear to withstand the rigors of trout stream conditions rather well. My only atypical comment is that the boot material including the laces stay wet for a couple of days. Other than that, they seem to be a well made, comfortable wading boot.

Comfy - size as normal
Very nice wader boot and ordered normal size for use with FroggLogg soft sloe waders. Fit well and insert is comfortable. Rugged design at a great price. Speed lacing works well.

When ordering your boots, remember the wader sock thickness.
The boots were a great fit and performed flawlessly. These boots have no spikes, but the felt performed very well, I was very sure footed on slippery Rocks. These were a great buy, excellent comfort, durable.

Comfortable and durable
Wading in these felt like walking on clouds, but they're bulky enough to keep your feet planted. Held up great in a rocky creek.

Surdy
These boots met my expectations. They are sturdy and well made. They are a little loose with regular socks but with thick socks they are comfortable. I normally wear size10 but ordered size11 based on my last pair of canvas boots.

Great First Impression...
Received these wading boots a week ago and first impressions are very good. They appear solidly constructed; far better than my old Bass Pro boots which lasted years. I am expecting good things and longevity from these as well. Tried them on with my waders and they are not only comfortable but fit true to size. Nice cleated sole which accepted studs very easily. I have used # 10 X 3/8" plated steel Hex-head screws forever to stud wading boots and found them to be a cheap and effective solution to ANY slippery surface. Looking forward to updating this review once I have had an opportunity to try the boots on-stream.

Great boot for the price
Great boot for the price. Works well. Felt has good grip. I wear size 11 to 11.5 boot. Size 12 worked great.

Good boot.
Very wide boot, grip seems to be okay. I wish they would have drain holes to help aid in quicker drying. So far they are holding up alright after a few fishing trips.
