This is definitely the best Quick Release on the market, super quality and very sturdy. I've tried couple of others and they were awkward to use and can be very wobbly. One reviewer said that these cannot be used with a Shure 55 because the XLR port is too close to the mounting hole. This is kinda true but you can get round the problem either by using a mic cable with slimline connectors or use a male to female XLR adapter between the mic and the cable.

Ended up buying 7 for my studio, need I say more……. Quick release function is what it says quick release, very easy to use.The thread needs to be worn in by screwing on and off a few time and this happened on all of the ones I bought.

Great tool for the job, and solid as a rock

Couple of people said this could be used with the shure super 55, I brought one and found out the hard way. It will not work, the fit is to tight. To make it work you have to file a deep flat spot in to your xlr end. If your not willing to do this then don’t bother.

This is nice accessory for Shure micorphones. It helps with the connection with the wire.
