Senran Kagura: Ninja Flash [Blu-ray]

And there are plenty of them in this anime. Again, this anime is probably better intended for fans of the game, rather than your average viewer. It's a light-hearted anime with a simplistic plot. 3rd Anime I've seen my whole life. 1st was Death Note, and then Blade & Soul Anime, and then now this. But I didn't come into this completely new to anime. I had some expectations about characters and how the story would turn out. And my friends told me the same thing. This anime series was average, TONS of Fanservice, not going to lie or even hide it. So if your NOT INTO the whole fanservice stuff, like another reviewer said, DON'T BOTHER LOL. I do like fanservice to a degree, but this anime was rather excessive on it. Storyline is average, just as I expected, good and bad unite to fight one ultimate enemy. But I've always liked those kind of stories where enemies come together in the end. Even though its VERY COMMON. So I gave this one extra star just for that. Character backstories were great. I would like to see anime for each and every back story with less fan service of course.

Great anime overrall, Great price for both Bluray and DVD Combo. The story isn't bad either nor is the fan service. It's really to be taken lighthearted does have elements of humor and heart with the friendships they make along the way. Only just heard about this because of the games and thought, why not? Glad I did, love the show! Oh yeah, has flashbombs if you like those too!

I love the anime it's a fun and watchable anime

i started out from the 3DS game Burst and it was fun and tight on harder difficulties ( on yang )saw the announcement that they will make an animated series and got excited to buy this , now as for my experience after watching all episodes its moderately good overall , the art style on the girls are perfect , sound track is excellent but comparing to Burst's game story pacing and action it really makes the anime somewhat of a let down .see although this is an Ecchi anime with some ninja girls action but the fights in the anime is short lived and could of done WAAAYYYY BETTER !!! , and even the events of the anime kinda rushes things up abit so that confused me a bit .overall it was a good watch and has some funny fan service moments , tho in my eyes the girls has more potential to be more developed and be more serious its just the genre that the show represents , also being that this set has both dvd & BR it gives you more option on where to watchjust don't expect it to be better than the games cuz im playing Estival Vs on PS4 and that game destroys the anime in everything .should be good for fans to watch thats for sure .

Senran Kagura is a combat/Fan service ninja series. 5 large breasted young women are trained in a secret facility in a local high school to become shinobi. The girls are varied in personality and skills ranging from serious to lecherous. They wear bikinis all the time because their ninja transformation which turns their clothes into fighting gear (sailormoonish) has a drawback in when they take damage the fighting gear disappears leaving them just wearing the bikini. The good ninja girls are attacked by the evil ninja girls. Evil quickly gains the upper hand in several combats but nobody is ever finished off. Script is pretty much recycled plots. Characters are very one dimensional, with little in the way of explanation or real plot development. Fights range from fairly good to one shot comedic battles. Some of the abilities are fairly impressive and animation is good. Other than that it's a mediocre fan service anime. Lots of breast grabbing, bikinis, and cleavage. If there is actual nudity it isn't present in the Amazon instant video version which has several bathing scenes that are covered by mist. There are a few lesbian overtones, but nothing graphic. I'd call this a slightly confused anime looking for a personality and not doing so well at finding it.

I bought this thinking it had the 6 special episodes and unfortunately it does not, other than that it's your typical physical release of a show/movie you'd find anywhere

This is a guilty pleasure of mine... I have watched this series quite a few times now, and honestly there are still details i miss here and there. This is NOT for children, the humour is very adult centric but also childish. Definitely for the inner man-child!

Great Set, loved every min of the Season, just a shame that it hasn't been followed up YET [I do hope it'll happen] the Animation is top notch and the Humor is quite funny, group of Girls training to be Shinobi [Ninjas] and defeat the "Evil Ninjas", I do note that if you watch this I recommend reading the Skirting Shadows Manga for Senran Kagura as well to add a lil bit of depth in areas not touched upon on this
