Perfect for '86 Honda CB700
This product worked well on my '86 Honda CB700. It has recessed valves (the valve spring cap is down somewhat below the top of the cam shaft cover.) It first tried one of the Lisle tools that you place on top of the valve and hit with a hammer, and some magnet is supposed to grab the stem clips, or whatever they call the two-piece stem retainer thingies. However that tool was too big to fit inside the cam body. This looks just like the factory valve remover that's pictured in my Honda service manual. Works just great.

its okay
I like having 5 different adapters for the retainerbad.......quality suffers somethe threads are not great, the sliding bar falls out all the time (NO RETAINER)no directions not that I needed themI WISH.......it came with 2 u clamps different sizes (about 30 percent smaller for small jobs this includes small bike heads 500cc)I wish the bottom bolt was chamfered to fit inside the dish on the face of the valve to prevent sliding off.thread quality was better on shaftsmake the cross bars permanent on the shafts on for each that becomes a serious pain looking for it real quickthe retainers wobble on the shafts when tightening maybe a better face contact areahaving a smaller u clamp bar I would gladly have paid more, not major but it gets cumbersome with small headsgoodprice point is fairblack oxides helps rusting

Yes it works fine , don't go crazy compressing springs beyond what is necessary.
It worked fine , if I rebuilt bike heads a lot I'd get the heavy duty model , if you bend this you don't know what you're doing , you only compress the valve springs until you can fit the collects into the valve stem , if you try to compress the springs 100% you'll bend any spring compressor. It works fine , pros that own shops have spring compressors that press the collects at the same time so they snap in.

It'll work
its cheap, it's heavy made, the threaded holes are off center, but will work and makes a great conversation piece with your friends on how to properly drill and tap holes, even free hand without glasses.

works okay for a while.. the metal is too weak for pressing springs, eventually the c clamp bends, and it makes it difficult to line up with the valves. used it on 5 engines before this happened

works great
I bought it for automotive use for a 3.0 4runner to do the valve seals also very handy for motorcycles and $ 60 cheaper than any other one I've found took a while to ship but better than going from store to store looking .the snap on truck didnt even have one .slide a piece of pipe or a socket on the valve side to make it shorter.I have made one out of a c clamp and sharp plug socket before but its easyer to have the correct tool
