Very easy to install. The dorm bed we attached it to uses square tubular steel for the mattress spring-support frame. This tray attached perfectly and is solid like a rock.

Able to attach to my dorm room bedframe as a phone holder. The surface is quite smooth and is more than big enough for my phone and a Kindle.

Poorly made. Bedside table snapped in half when trying to install. Will be returning.
