Good performance but bad battery life
This works great for me. It amplifies the telephone handset volume and will adjust the tone as well. It provides plenty of amplification for me, I don't have it turned up all the way. Definitely helps the handset sound clearer. Setup was easy and the factory setting worked in my application. It offers several different setting for various phone systems. This will only work on phones that have the handset connected to the phone base with a cord that can be removed as this product is inserted between the phone base and the handset. It uses a 9v battery which is included as are all cables necessary to install the amplifier.After using this for a while I come to not use it. It goes through batteries (9volt) much too quickly. There is no on/off switch so I guess it's drawing some power all the time and there is no connection for an ac adapter for power. There is also no provision for knowing the battery state. When the battery gets low, the led will still be illuminated but you can't hear the caller though they can hear you.
