Amazing Meat Thermometer!
This is an amazing meat thermometer. I love the convenience of being able to monitor the internal temperature of my steak while sitting inside my house. The RF technology worked flawlessly and the temperature was accurate to achieve the 130 degrees for my medium rare porterhouse. Being able to select the type of meat that you're cooking, as well as, your desired temperature, makes cooking on the grill easy! Additionally, the probes and wires can withstand high temperatures, so this allows you to keep the probes in the meat until your desired temperature is reached, which is great! Also, this comes with 4 separate probes, so that you can check the temperature of 4 different meats, cooking at the same time, which is a great feature. Overall, this is a wonderful meat thermometer and I highly recommend it due to the price, product features, accuracy and convenience!

Works great! Easy to use, and nice Features!
I've used many different wireless probe systems, and this one is one of the very best. Easy to understand controls, highly visible screen, and very solid probes. In fact, the probes have reinforced connections from wire to probe with springs to eliminate cord crimping and harsh bending at the connectors. Temperature is pretty dead on, based on checking with other probes I own. Highly recommend this product, and the price is right for this quality product. Great value, and great system!

All Probes may not work
I selected this wireless temperature monitor as it was weatherproof and I anticipated a time where it would be raining when it was being used. While it has yet to be exposed to rain, one of the probes has already failed, giving an inaccurate reading. I moved the probe to different input and the problem followed, so the problem is in the probe. I have only used it four times before this failure, so be prepared for premature failure or to not have four probes available to you. I can get by with one less probe for now, but once the next on fails, in the trash it will go and I will seek out something more robust. However, when it works, it is great, providing all of the features and ease of use I was looking for.

Solid remote multi-channel thermometer - good value.
This thermometer surprised me - it's easily on par with my neighbor's thermoworks which I routinely use as a reference for calibrating mine since his is so accurate and stable. I also tested this against another pen type which is brand new only a week old and it was within 1 degree consistently in agreement. You will have to use a small screwdriver (Phillips) to insert the supplied batteries. The reason for this is that it's water sealed with a silicone o-ring around the battery compartments. These types of units don't go through batteries often so it's not a big deal and actually a nice feature as I like to wash them under the faucet with soap when grease splatters. The magnets are very strong and more than enough to hold the unit to a grill. The supplied probes are pretty much standard probes. They do have color coded o-rings available but I don't use them - they're to identify the probe by color to the channel. The probe sockets are really nice - soft silicone that has a tiny hole in it so it will seal solidly and stay watertight. The orange silicone ring that surrounds the unit is grippy too. The stands for inside the grill are pretty much standard spring steel - not much to say there. Units are very easy to read even in reflective light. The backlight is quite bright too. I like that it has individual soft silicone buttons for each channel which is much nicer than having to scroll through menus on single button models - and this is one of my favorite things about this unit. The remote works to at least 70 feet, which is from the front of my house to the back where the grill is - I could tell it was working because I had my girlfriend on the phone looking at the main unit and telling me what the temps were as the grill pre-heated. I will say that there's about 3-4 seconds lag in temperature readout on the remote - but this is to be expected over distance and I'm sure they poll at intervals and not every second to conserve battery life. From my experience this is common with these remove thermometers and the same happens to my neighbor's thermoworks. Stainless bezel is nice and easy to clean. The only suggestion I would make is to have heat resistant silicone handles on the probes as these do get hot enough to burn you. Not a big deal as I always have oven mitts or silicone grill mitts around to grab them - or I just use the grill tongs to grab them and pull them out. Overall - pretty impressed with the quality for the price.

Accurate, practical, dependable.
I have used this meat thermometer in a variety of cooks over the last week and it performed flawlessly. Compared to two other meat thermometers we used, this one has the advantage. The first I will compare it to has no wireless connectivity. The downside with this one is obvious, you have to be standing next to it to read it. The upside is that while it’s powered, it will always give you the temp. The other I will compare it to is a Bluetooth thermometer that is always disconnecting, but gives accurate temps when it’s not dropping the connection every few minutes. The benefit of this Bluetooth one is you can monitor the temps of your food without being next to the grill/stove/etc. The problems with the “wired” and the Bluetooth thermometers I have were not issues with the Smartro x50. It had the pros of the two mentioned above without the cons which have proved to be a nuisance to me. It connected dependably using the RF technology, showed accurate temps with the 4 supplied probes, and was able to be used for my needs such as monitoring the temp of the meat on the grill while I was inside cooking the accompanying sides. 10/10 would recommend.
