AGPTEK Waterproof MP3 Player with Screen

I purchased this device to ease the boredom when swimming laps each day. Unfortunately, it did not do well in that usage. It kept jumping around the book. I contacted the seller and was given some advice to re-format the device. That didn't help. Purchased another brand and it works perfectly. This device may be great for music but not for books.

This is a great little player for exercising in the water-especially for the money! I had a previous waterproof player without a screen, and it was extremely frustrating. I use it to listen to audio books while exercising in the pool, and it is SO NICE to have the screen so I can see the menu and know what chapter I'm on. The first one of these I ordered could not be recognized by any of my computers so I was about to call it a bust and buy another model, but I returned it to Amazon and they rapidly replaced it and the new one works perfectly. The first was just a lemon. If you want an inexpensive little waterproof player, I would highly recommend this one. The only downside is the tightly coiled earphone cords seemed to pull on my ears too much, so I used another set of waterproof ear phones from my previous player. I didn't try using the cord extension, though, so that may have solved the problem.

This comes with no instructions on how to get the music onto the player. I don't have a computer, only a tablet. That might be the problem, but can't really say. Why there is no support for Android is a good question. Some don't use Windows for everything.

So far it seems to be working well! One thing that concerned me was that they advertise this product as waterproof but in the manual they say don't "soak it" for more than 30 minutes. It's weird but I've been regularly swimming with it for 1hr lap swimming sessions without it dying on me. The controls were a little confusing to get used to at first because I used a shuffle before, but this nifty thing works pretty well! My one complaint is that the clip for it is really flimsy for the amount of weight this thing has and can only clip well to my goggles, when I usually prefer to wear my music on my swimsuit strap. I will swim up to four feet underwater for brief moments and this thing holds up pretty well to that.

I bought this to replace another waterproof mp3 player that had gotten wonky after less than a year. This player has a screen so I can see the podcasts that I listen to and has a feature so that I can return to where I left off. I use this for swimming (both in pools and in saltwater) and after about 2 weeks of consistent use for over an hour, everything seem to be working properly. I didn't love the headphones that came with it (they had a spiral, and I couldn't figure out the best way to attach the player so that they didn't interfere with my stroke).

First of all, there is only a one month support window from amazon. It took a long time to figure out how to use this product because the booklet is very poorly written. When I was finally able to use the product, it did not last long. The sound deteriorated and finally the device quit working because the connections became corroded. Very poor quality product. A waterproof device should not corrode when used for swimming in a pool. The amazon support for this was not acceptable. They hid behind a one month support window. You would be better off just throwing your money into the trash than buying this product. I called manufacturer but they were of no help either.
