We purchased this camera as a night-time monitor for our 1 y/o twins to replace a broken, expensive one we had been given for our previous child. At just £19.99, we were dubious at the quality we were likely to receive but for such little money, it felt worth the risk. There are also loads of other positive reviews so we felt that the camera would at least be worth the cost. I cannot tell you how surprised we were! The camera arrived and while it is VERY light, it does not feel too delicate. Set up was very simple; Download the app, Connect to your home WiFi, Done. Full HD quality picture with a great field of view. The best part, however, in our opinion, has to be the night vision. Our children's' bedrooms are very dark at night. However, from the first use of this camera at night, the black and white night vision is crystal clear. Significantly clearer picture than our previous camera. Overall, we cannot recommend this camera highly enough. We have recommended it to anyone that will listen, several family and friends have purchased their own on our recommendation and are equally impressed. We have since purchased an addition camera and will be purchasing Wansview outdoor cameras in the near future.

It’s a pretty good little camera. Very small and unobtrusive. It can record to an SD card (not supplied), so you don’t have to sign up for any online services if you don’t want. It’s positioned in an upstairs window at the moment, monitoring outside, so at night the objects are just a bit too far away to be clear, so I can’t really comment on the quality of the night vision images, and so that's why I only gave it 3 stars for the night vision feature, when really for me it should be a rating of N/A. Daytime images are very clear, and the motion detection is good, and the sensitivity can be adjusted to suit. You can also choose only certain sections of the field of vision to monitor for motion detection – very handy. The field of vision is quite wide as well. The camera stores all the footage for one day, and then deletes them all at midnight, and then starts saving everything for the duration of the next 24-hour period. You can download any clips you wish to save to a separate area with one click, and then that footage will be retained. I suppose if you pay for online storage it will save all the images?? – I don’t know, I’m not sure. For me, just saving for one day is good enough, with the option of saving for longer if I choose to save onto the SD card inserted into the camera. You can transfer from the SD card onto your phone storage so you can easily e-mail them if required. A 10-second video is 1Mb in size and is saved as a .mov file on my iPhone. You get an alert every time the camera is triggered, which you can turn off if so desired. I can view the recorded images or view live images from my iPhone from anywhere with an Internet connection. I can also view the live feed on my Amazon Echo Show, just by voice command, i.e. “Alexa, show Cam1”, or “Alexa, hide Cam1”. The Wansview support, if required, is very, very, good. I moved my camera from its original location, and left it disconnected for about 3 months, by which time I had forgotten my password and couldn’t get onto the camera again when I plugged it back in. I tried to reset my password on the Wansview website, but I kept getting an error message every time I tried to activate the password. I actually lost my patience with it, and I was, shamefully, a bit rude and offensive in the e-mail I sent to Wansview support. However, Wansview support were quick to respond and were very understanding and polite and got my password activated and my camera going again within a day. I think the only holdup was that they are in a different time zone to me, but during their office hours they respond almost immediately. I would definitely recommend this camera.

Bought this for watching my pet pygmy hedgehogs, and it is a fabulous bit of kit, great quality picture and automatically switches to night vision when the ambient light goes out (which has a fab night vision quality image for the price of the camera) the app is easy to use and the zoom/pan/tilt function is really handy for checking in on whatever subject you are watching. Also has an ace motion detection function which automatically captures a 15 second video whenever something moves in the shot. All In all a worth while piece of kit and easy to setup and use, woukd definitely recommend it

I love the clarity of the picture and the ability for a wide view and split screen with pairing to additional cameras. Price point is also reasonable. Would purchase again!

Great camera that is super easy to set up. The app is user friendly and easy to navigate.

We have a few of the original Wansview 1080p IP cams—the ones with an adjustable head and wonderfully wide field of view—which we bought between 2016 and 2019. They're working great today and connect fast to our router. I've recommended them so many times to others! We needed another and were disappointed not to find those models anymore. Tried the K5 because it looked to be the closest we could come to the previous versions, given its (slightly) adjustable head vs. the stationary R2D2-looking ones that seem to be the current rage. It was a big disappointment. First you have to DL a new cloud app and create an account, sign in, and and and… which means it's separate from our other set of cams. Then good luck getting this to connect to your router quickly—ditto getting it to stay connected once you move it. We lost an hour to that, ridiculous! While we're returning based on the unstable nature alone, for the short time it was up we were astonished to see that field of view is maybe half of what the old models were (in toto, up+down+left+right). Cannot recommend.

I needed something to have open and watch my kids while working. I tried the voice feature, but it scared by autistic kid too much, but so far the features work very well.

It works really well with very high picture quality.
