All the stars!!! This story and series is timeless. It’s how family and townl ife should be!!!
Where to begin with this book? It was the perfect end to this series. It checked every box you could ever want in a book. I am actually a little sorry to be writing this review because this is a series no one who read it wanted to see end. I feel like I’m going to be missing my friends. I became invested in the people and their lives. They took small town living to a whole different meaning. They showed us what it means to see the heart and soul of people who have each other’s backs. Of course there’s always the town troublemakers. Wouldn’t life be dull without them. Even they are needed to show us the flip side of life. They add to life’s color. The authors who wrote this series are genius. They knew just how to delve deep into these characters lives and bring them to life. Anyone who reads these books will want to visit Bootleg and meetup with all these fabulous people. The collaboration between the authors is flawless. Each story melded right into the next one.As far as this book, Highball Rush, well we get to find out all the answers we were looking for. All the mysteries are solved. If you read the previous books you have theories as to what happened. You’ll find out how good of a detective you are or if you should turn in your badge. We get to see all the transformations and connections that are made. The best part is witnessing Gibson and seeing him gradually come back to life. There’s a saying that goes, “The Bigger they are the harder they fall”. Never was there a truer phrase. He fell like a great Redwood in the Forrest. It was beautiful. I felt all the “feels” in this book. He was the perfect hero for the end of this series. Every time I read the newest book I thought they were my favorite but then the next one would be right there with the first one. What I will say is the perfect characters started and ended this series. It was perfectly book ended!I could go on and on with my love for this book. This book made me so happy to read it and yet sad that it’s over. You can bet Mona Lisa McNugget the sixth that I will be re-reading this series over and over. I will say that the bonus material and afterwards alone that the author provided are worth the price of the book. If it doesn’t get to you, check your heart. Mine grew two sizes reading it. I know this is the end for our Bootleg family but I always hold out hope that we’ll be hearing more from them. They will remain timeless with me. Bravo to both authors. Thanks for the memories. Y’all done real good!

My favorite reread of all time!
Every time I read this (3 times now, at least once a year), I literally can’t get enough!!! This one of my ALL TIME FAVES from Claire and it is just so freaking perfect. The perfect ending to an amazing series and cannot recommend this to people enough! Gibson is top tier, 100/10, grumpy, manly, protective, and all the yumminess one can want in a MMC. I am such a sucker for him and I will reread this book until I can read no longer.

Romantic, suspenseful, quirky, mysterious, and fun! A perfect series ending!
Highball Rush (Bootleg Springs Book 6) by Claire Kingsley with Lucy Score is a contemporary, romantic comedy blended with mystery and suspense. Told in first person, dual POV, the story takes place in the fictional small town of Bootleg Springs, West Virginia, and concludes the Bootleg Springs series. While each book focuses on a different couple, there is a mystery that spans the entire series so they must be read in order.Gibson Bodine is a loner and the broodiest of the Bodine siblings. When a video of him singing and playing his guitar at the local bar goes viral, he has no interest in being in the spotlight but a persistent record label doesn't want to take no for an answer. Gibson continues to decline offers to speak with the label so they decide to send one of their reps, Maya Davis, to West Virginia to see if she can persuade him to sign a recording contract. When Gibson sees Maya for the first time, he feels an intriguing sense of familiarity. He may not be interested in a record deal, but he's definitely interested in knowing more about her. But Maya has some big secrets. Meanwhile, the town's investigation into the Callie Kendall case is gaining momentum and Jonah Bodine Sr. continues to be a person of interest. What will happen when the truth is revealed?I absolutely loved this book! I had been looking forward to Gibson's love story and was not at all disappointed. This series has been so enjoyable to read and the recurring characters in each book have felt like visiting with old friends. Throughout the series, I had been keeping track of all the clues related to the Callie Kendall case and was excited to finally have all my questions answered. The authors did a great job of tying up loose ends. Romantic, suspenseful, quirky, mysterious, and fun - this was the perfect ending to a fantastic series!

Highball Rush
Oh my goodness, I loved this so much! Gibson is just that never-falter MMC that you could never dislike. No matter how gruff and grumpy he appears, he sticks to his beliefs and cares so, so deeply. And Maya is a survivor! I love her traveling life on the road with rockstars, but obviously love more that she finds Gibson and Bootleg Springs. This book was the perfect end to the series. I wish I could read it again for the first time. Very sad to be finished with the series...

Highball Rush
The 6 th & final book in the series. All the ends are tied up including the mystery of Calli. I enjoyed all six & loved the characters and stories in each one! Would love to see them 10 years from when Scarlett turns 30! Easy to read and full of romance & fun & action!!!

Excellent end!!!
Fantastic finale of the series. I started at book 3 and read to the end, then went back to 1 and 2. Though I loved all the brothers and sister, I’ll take a grumpy recluse with a sweet heart any day. Him and Maya’s relationship I nearl’y saw coming, and the second it was revealed, it fit together nicely

Gibson
*Spoilers*Gibson wins for the sexiest Bodine brother. He’s strong, grumpy, talented and secretly sweet. He struggles with feeling like he was never wanted and strives to be the exact opposite of this father. The investigation weighs on him and he’s never gotten over Callie’s disappearance.Callie, who goes by Maya now, returns to Bootleg Springs when her boss sends her to check out new talent. She’s a producer and Gibson’s voice has caught the attention of many labels. When she becomes aware that her cold case was re-opened she returns to set the record straight. Callie is strong, smart, loving and kind.Gibson and Callie are a perfect match. They both see each other for their true selves. I love that they share a love of music and that they were good friends before she disappeared. Callie softens Gibson’s rough edges and Gibson makes Callie feel safe and loved. They work together to bring her parents down once and for all and get justice for Callie, Jonah Sr. and Connie. We finally get all the answers to the Callie Kendall mystery. The way the town comes together to help is amazing. The moonshine truth serum scene was funny and so Bootleg.Full of laughter, love, hope, heat and an HEA.

What a rush
I’m left with bittersweet emotions from the conclusion to this amazing, addictive, small town, big hearted series. Love for the characters created and upset that the series has reached its destination. Finally the mystery behind the disappearance of Callie Kendall is solved, with as many twists and turns as a mountain road.Brooding Gibson is finally reunited with his friend Callie, and has a realisation that she is not only the missing girl, but the missing piece to him being complete. The other Bodines and their extended family feature strongly through this final episode. Misty Lynn gets her comeuppance in true Bootleg fashion. The bonus episodes and the plot explanations in the bonus content prove what skilled creative writers Claire and Lucy are. You’ll be thankful you stumbled into Bootleg Springs and like anyone who does you won’t want to leave.

Highball Rush
I think That Gibson and Callie's story is my favourite out of the series, it answers so many questions and Gibson deserved a HEA.There are quite a few twists in this story and the usual humour I've come to expect and love, especially the truth serum.I'm going to miss these characters and their town. When life gets a little boring I think I might start this series over.

Worth the Wait!
I loved the fact that Blue Moon - and Clementine!😂 - got in on the act. Two really powerful, engaging characters, and a whole town behind them: how could this fail? It couldn't. Strong writing, the usual sizzling sex scenes, great plotting and all your favourite Bootleggers, with a fair old side helping of humour to help it along - Kingsley & Score: you rock! You must have such fun dreaming it all up and working it all out! Thanks a whole bunch, y'all! What's next, and how long do we have to wait for it???
