Functional but watch the style of your glasses
I bought two pair (different styles). One style is a "flip up" and the other stays in place until removed. Both are more than okay. However, my glasses have a lower cross piece between the lenses and the fixed sunglasses are a bit of a struggle to clip on. They work best if the cross piece is higher between the lenses. I can get them to work but it takes two hands and can't be done while driving. The flip up pair are pretty much perfect for any style of glasses. They clip onto the lenses themselves so avoid any cross piece conflict. Also, I can put them on in the parking garage and flip them up until I'm out in the sunshine. I've worn them primarily while driving so cannot say how they work on the water or out hiking yet. Unless your glasses have a cross piece pretty much aligned with the top of your lenses, I'd recommend the flip up version even if you don't necessarily want to "flip" them.

Decent clip-ons but frustrating clip
I have a particularly large head (d'oh), and as such, I wear very wide glasses. As such, it's a bit hard to find clip-ons that work for well for me. These ones do well, aside from one kind of annoying flaw. First, the good: they're well made, they come in a great pouch, and with a nifty glasses cleaner that's always welcome. The lenses are clear and they do what they're supposed to - amber lenses are always a plus for me. However, the mechanism by which they hook onto your glasses has two main flaws. First of all, it's spring loaded, and the tiny tab on the top has nothing to really press against, so pinching it to get it open can be rather hard to do. Second, since it's got nothing on the opposite side, it actually wraps around my glasses and pokes me in the nose unless I position the lenses way further up on my frames than they should be. This may be less of a problem if you've got plastic frames, but wire frames, it's going to be a problem for. Still, they do the job, and they're nice and wide, so they're not all bad. I have no plans on returning these, but I'm not buying them again once I break or lose them. The good:Good packagingCarrying pouch and glasses cleaning cloth includedGood quality constructionGood lenses - block what they shouldNice and wideThe bad:Unusual clip mechanism does not hold them on very wellClip mechanism wraps around my glasses and pokes me in the noseHard to attach/detach to frames due to spring-loaded design with tiny finger padOver all: A well-made product with a couple of design flaws

Bought to match Silouette titanium no-hinge eyeglasses
I once owned a pair of Silhouette clip-on polarized sunglasses and paid $85 at the time I bought my eyeglasses. They would snap onto the bridge of my eyeglasses with no hooks or hinges or tabs. The bridge of the sunglasses had a little channel that snapped on perfectly to the bridge of the eyeglasses. I was happy. Then, after about two years, that little channel (made of plastic) simply wore down, and the little snap over part wore and wore and finally snapped off. I contacted Silhouette, whose "customer service" representative basically said "so sad, too bad, buy another one." The price for another Silhouette snap-on sunglass was now $119 (for a piece of plastic!) and I was determined I was not going to let Silhouette gouge me again. They were overpriced in the first place, and another $119 was simply outrageous. So I poked around Amazon for a few weeks and found these Besgoods Clip-on Sunglasses Lenses. (For about $8.00!!!!) True, they're not quite as invisible as the Silhouette sunglasses, but they're also not $119! So I got out my old, broken, Silhouette sunglasses, traced the shape onto my new Besgoods sunglasses, and cut off the excess with a pair of heavy-duty scissors! Then I sanded off the edges with a fingernail emery board, and you can hardly tell the difference in these "customized" sunglasses and the old, broken, $119 Silhouette sunglasses. So.....so sorry Silhouette....your product was WAY overpriced....your product wasn't durable...and your customer service wasn't responsive. So, it's hello Besgoods, goodbye Silhouette..unless of course I can find some Silhouette clip-ons that are more reasonably priced. These Besgoods sunglasses clip onto the bridge of my Silhouette wire rim glasses with a little hinge spring thing. (You can see that in the blown up pictures on the Amazon listing.) That little metal tab is the only thing that's visible, and I can live with that. It takes a little getting used to, and I have to move my clip-ons around a bit to get them to sit perfectly on the bridge of the glasses, but for $8.00, I'm not complaining. (Sorry for the very long review for an $8.00 product, but I'm hoping my ordeal might help someone else in deciding which clip-on sunglasses to buy.) Good luck. Highly recommend these Besgoods Polarized Clip-on Sunglasses. No, I have NOT been compensated in any way for this review, nor have I been contacted by the manufacturer or distributor.UPDATE: I abused these clip on sunglasses, and broke them. During a recent overseas trip, I had to put them on and take them off many times during a day taking photos, entering museums, restaurants. I was in the habit of slipping these into one of my front pockets for safekeeping. In one instance, while putting the glasses in a front trouser pocket, they hit my cell phone and the lens cracked and broke away from the bridge. Not the fault of the sunglasses, but just be aware they are NOT "unbreakable" like the bold label on the Amazon web site says. I have ordered another pair and will be more careful next time.

Better than nothing, but no substitute for the real thing
These are ok for occasional use, maybe to keep as a backup in your backpack or something, but they aren't any substitute for real sunglasses.First is the fit. I did master getting them on and off with one hand without removing my glasses (square-ish Ray Ban half-frames), but I would always have to fiddle with them for a minute to get them to sit straight. Second is that the tint is very dark, which makes them difficult to tolerate when ducking into a building, going through a car wash, etc. And finally, what really made me pony up for RX sunglasses, is that the coverage isn't sufficient to block out bright side light and reflections of parts of my face. Glasses really work best when they cover the entire field of view. We accept partial coverage in the name of fashion for reading glasses, but for sunglasses it is a major downgrade in functionality.
