If you have a rural home, likely you have a septic system. THIS product keeps the stinky "honey" truck (septic lift truck) away pure and simple. In time, you'll hear that bakers yeast or, spreading horse manure in your tank, or that nothing works too. Not true. This is designed to create a strata of active bacteria that continues to break down waste well after covered with fresh waste. Left alone, only the topmost waste breaks down. If you like the hassle of lifting the lid of your septic tank off and attempting to spread horse manure over the existing waste, then bravo. I'm curious about your stories. If you want to have a look of disbelief after paying to have your system lifted, use bakers yeast. If you truly want a healthy working active septic system, avoid flushing bleaches or any chemicals harmful to bacteria, animal fats and look at the outside of the package for the dark blue hash lines to measure your monthly dose and follow the instructions. I've had the total displeasure of working the honey truck, a four year old system, two person home that had to be lifted because the toilets were backing up, vs a 25 year old system on a five person home that was being sold and the buyer insisted on the septic being lifted yielded literally a quarter of the waste. The latter used Rid X every month.This is an investment!

Rid-X is the best septic system damage prevention product on the market. I have always used it every month right on schedule. I bought this item because of the huge saving I get from ordering it by the bulk on amazon rather than buying the one time use at the store.PROS- Cheaper by the bulk on amazon, Best septic damage prevention system on the market, Easy to use box.CONS- Did not come with a measuring device or seperate dose for each month in the box I had to estimate how much to pour out the box for each month, The box is not built to with stand damage or weather my box had a couple of cracks in it so product leaked out when box is moved.I love this product I will always use it.

This product is generally great and comes in a one box dispenser, so you have to measure it out three different times, which is no problem. However this time I order 3 packs and only received ONE PACK of the three I was supposed to get !It was packaged in with the dog food that I had purchased. And as I said there were supposed to be three but I only got one!Probably just a mistake and I will contact Amazon to see what happened!!The product itself works VERY WELL, and is very reputable, though.

This works great we have been using sense we moved into or new home two years ago. We have 5 teen girls and mom and dad and I was concerned having growing up on a septic and having it backup before I had it inspected and they stated it was in great shape nad would be back in two years no need to pump.

This is a must item for keeping your septic clean. I have been using Rid-X for several years and when others in our neighborhood needed to have their septic cleaned, we have had no issues. In fact, it has been 15 years and we decided to have our septic pumped (because others were having problems) and the gentleman that serviced our septic told us that there really was no need. He had thought that it had been done recently and when we told him how long we had been in the home without needing service, he was amazed.We now have most of the neighbors using Rid-X and hopefully it will be another 15 years without service!

We bought an old house with an equally old septic system, which is not something I have ever had to deal with before. The septic system maintenance guy gave it a clean bill of health and said to use Rid-X once a month to keep the system working properly.I've used this for three months now and it's very easy. Just pour the powdered mix into the empty toilet bowl and flush. Do this as the last flush of the day if possible. So far everything is humming along like it should.

As we are new to having to deal with a septic system, I had no idea what to do. Research lead me to this product. It is unavailable in my local community & I don't travel into the city often. Was happy to find some where to get it that would ship it to me directly.
