Red Light Therapy Device, Serfory Near Infrared Light Set Heat Lamp for Skin Care Muscle Body Pain Relief (2022 Upgraded)

A year ago I bought a cold laser red light therapy unit for $350 from Amazon. It was shoddily made and made me think red light therapy is placebo medicine at best.I'm giving it a second try with this inexpensive, well-made unit. There's nothing fancy about the unit. it's kind of an old-fashioned desk lamp, but with a red flood bulb instead of a desk bulb. I'm assuming the red bulb puts out the beneficial near infrared rays.The advantages of this unit are three:1) Inexpensive. Not overly costly.3) Well made and easily adjustable2) Set it and go. Unlike many other red light units, you can put this one on the floor by your damaged ankle (or on a table facing your shoulder, etc.) and go about your business typing, reading, etc. in a chair with the light running. You don't have to literally hold the light against your ankle (or whatever) for 30 minutes, not doing anything else the whole while.I'm still not sure certain how beneficial red light therapy is, but if, like me, you want to give it a try, this is a great machine to start with. Nothing fancy. No expensive LED setup. But the red light is there, it's bright, and the focused heat generated by the bulb is comforting regardless of the therapeutic value of the red light.

My wife and I both have joint and muscle pain. My wife bought an infrared red light couple years ago, but that one has a very noisy timer, and it's not warm enough. Saw this one on Amazon which looks better than the one we have, so give it a try.First, for anything that will produce high heat, such as portable heater, we must plug it only on the wall outlet.My wife twisted her left ankle for couple weeks, she used those microwaveable heat pad everyday but that didn't help much, she said the microwaveable heat pad cool down so quick, and the infrared red light she got can only be used when lying on the bed. For this one, she put the heat lamp on the floor, plug it to the wall outlet, turned it on and the lamp heated up immediately, she leveled up her foot by a small stool to get the heat. Used it for 15 minutes and she really enjoyed it.For my shoulders, I set the heat lamp on the table behind me, turned on the heat lamp and let it warming my shoulder while I'm using the PC. The heat is good, it really helped to relief the pain, but I suggest the manufacture include a pair of special sunglasses for buyer to use when using this light. The red light really hurt even not looking directly to it. I'm not sure if it has a timer, I didn't count how long I used it, but I turned it off once I felt it's enough.

I received this yesterday and unpacked it this morning. It appears that the lamp was previously bought and returned. The cord was loosely bundled, and the very flimsy bulb box was crushed and deformed, although the bulb appeared undamaged. The bulb guard was just stuck in somewhere, not placed in a dedicated place.According to photos, there should have been a black (plastic?) piece for the stem (?) of the lamp to fit into the base, but it was not in the box.The instruction page is approximately the size of a postcard. It is blank on one side. Half of the printed side is a photo of the lamp. The brief instructions are next to the photo.It was difficult to fit the parts back into the Styrofoam pieces. There was only one hollow area that seemed dedicated to a part (the base). The other hollow areas didn't fit any particular part as far as I could tell. This may explain why the bulb box was in such bad shape.The lamp may work, but I am afraid to trust it because (1) without the missing piece to hold the stem to the base, it may be unstable, and (2) the bulb box was so bent and distorted that I can't trust that the bulb is safe.

I have wrist pain for a while due to working on computer for years. I have been looking for home treatment therapy and heard Red light therapy maybe helpful. I tried to use it once a day for a week now, I felt visible pain relieve each time after using this light to treat. Even though the pain still comes back the next day after I use computer for a while, but I feel it’s less intense than before. I hope that it will help me for long term. The product meets my expectation.BTW, It was very quick delivery. I order the product in late Friday afternoon and picked free shipping option. The estimated deliver time is the next Wednesday at checkout. As a surprise, the product arrived the next day on Saturday.

As you might be able to see from the pictures, on second use the bulb actually burned a hole through the metal. Not too surprising considering that these get hot and it’s a thin metal casing so I just wish the material was stronger so this wouldn’t have happened.

I’m returning this item because the base is too small and easily tips if it is pushed too far forward. The instructions warn against this, but, since it does adjust to a low level be careful. No timer or heat adjustment. It does ok for pain relief. Need to sit in chair to get full back benefit for me. I was able to aim at my knees from nightstand with knees up. The one I exchanged for I can lie on my stomach/back and adjust over my bed to reach all areas. This model is fine if you have limited space. It does provide relief for my fibromyalgia and other pain issues.There isn’t a timer. I ordered a model has adjustable heat, timer, and with a 5 heavy legs, with wheels, the lamp cover has substantial protection on it, vs this model. It also reaches over my bed. It was $40 more but worth the extra to me. The a
