What will happen to Harlan Nash’s political career?All in all, a very satisfying read, with writing more like the Carly Phillips I know. I loved catching up with the “family” so to speak - after 3 books, I certainly feel invested in this group of characters! It has been a worthwhile experience following the Jordan sisters to their well-deserved HEAs!

Sophie is the middle sister in a group of 3 sisters who own a sports management agency.This is the third in a series, and maybe if I had read the other books I would have been more enamored of this book. Maybe not.This is not exactly a romance, Sophie is lusting after Riley, a super star quarterback. Riley returns the feeling of lust.There are family members - Riley has an ex-wife who has remarried, and a teenage daughter. Riley also has a biological father who is one of the partners in the sports management agency. And his father, Spencer, has disappeared because of a news story that can hurt many people on many levels. Sophie is emotionally close to Spencer, and he is a partner with her Uncle Yank.The relationships remind me of ivy, they intertwine to the point it is hard to tell where pieces begin and end.Sophie is not exactly my idea of a warm heroine. She is so reserved that she seems to be cut off from everyone. She continually talks abut how close she is to her family, but she apparently never speaks to them about what she is feeling.Riley has an ego the size of Montana and does not appear to be the kind of man who wants a relationship with a woman.I read the entire book, but it was not because I was crazy about the two main characters. The plot is interesting, and that is what kept me reading. I think some of the threads were snipped too soon, but that is just me.Ms Phillips is a very talented author. She writes a well developed plot, and generally her characters are more appealing to me. I will read more of her books, because she is too good for me to ignore.
