What a journey
I can't figure out if I have a broken heart or a brightened spirit. Either way both emotions are welcome. I really can't say what my expectations going in were but whatever they were went far beyond what I may have thought. Grif was such a special character and written so perfectly I wasn't sure Wes could top that. I fell completely in love with Wes and all that he is. I never saw his sensitivity and gentleness coming as it did. We have two totally different men who truly come together making each whole. Normally I would say a person should be a whole as himself but these two needed each other to be complete and it was beautiful. The way they read each other and just knew what the other needed left me awestruck. Seeing how Grif reacted to Wes after being told about Paul and Henrick.....total surprise but it made total sense. I feel it was the only way for Wes to process and truly move on from the years he tortured himself. Now, the epilogue. As I read I kept saying to myself 'I hate Joseph' over and over again. But....that's because I was crying like a baby at work. It was a perfect ending to this beautiful journey. But that last sentence....UGH! It about did me in! Absolutely beautiful and perfect.Lastly, I would love to know more about Quinn and Gage. The little glimpse of Gage makes me want to wrap him up and hug him forever.

Give me my happiness!
This book continues where the other left of, with Grif and Wes moving forward, only to come to a standstill when Grif disappears for Greenland for two months. There is no mistaking how much the two love each other, easily making any person jealous of their commitment.Wes's past is revealed and shows he still struggles with trusting himself without realising just how much it affects his willingness to give everything to Grif.I would have liked to know what happened to Henrik after, that is my only thing.I'm ignoring the epilogue, it's evil and left me in a blubbering mess that I was not expecting to find myself in after just having read about their chocolate session. Authors should not be allowed to do this.

INCREDIBLY GOOD...A must read.!!!!
5*****StarsBook: Wes’ DenialSeries: Tease-Denial Book 2Author: Joseph Lance TonletPublisher: Joseph lance TonletGenre: RomanceRated: Mature BDSMI am always excited to have a dry spell (pardon the pun) as a review chair. Sometimes it is slow enough that I get to choose books and get to read new to me authors. My friend and reviewer/blogger Lisa Arbitrary mentioned this series and hmmmm I did have the time……..Before I begin I must mention, this story is not just an M/M Romance. It may not be for all readers. To explain though, our author has written an epic love story spanning the lives of Marcus and Wes from their beginnings. We learned in each book about them, and what made them who they were exactly when they met. Then we watched them grow even closer in this second book Wes’s Denial; when Wes finally shared his needs. Slowly before our eyes two became became one…. with trust, and love. They were perfect for each other and this awesome author took us there step by step.We followed Grif’s life in Grif’s Toy when Marcus learned quite suddenly at a young age he had a body to be ridiculed. This humiliation would follow him forever. We learned in Wes’ Denial about Wes’ life, and how the flashbacks we follow have also formed who Wes is. Chocolate, Vanilla and in between were their sweet acceptance of each other, a need for the two of them to fulfill.Joseph Lance Tonlet, I feel privileged to have read your two books. I did it bleary eyed over this weekend because I couldn’t put both down. You are a master of words, writing a symphony, music of a journey you have taken us on. This is one I would nott have missed for the world.I must say the Epilogue just about did me in. No Spoilers…..So please readers take a chance, broaden your reading horizons. I do not think you will be disappointed…..Review by Gloria LakritzSr Reviewer and Review Chair for the Paranormal Romance Guild

Loved this even more than the first
This book.. I won't be forgetting this story for a long time. It's got everything Grif's Toy does- the sexines, kink, romance, etc, but this felt so much more substantive. The story is told from Wes's perspective this time.Wes' Denial focuses on the big unanswered question from the first book- what big, dark secret is Wes hiding? Turns out, he's got a lot of really heavy baggage.I actually enjoy the time jumps in this. Like the first, we get a teenage Wes, when he was on active duty, before meeting Grif, the beginning of their relationship, and the two as an established couple. The way this book reads follows the themes of tease and denial. Rather than progressing in a linear fashion, we know what's going on and where it'll likely end up, but the "how" in the middle are hinted at and teased. Then the story shifts and makes you wait. I can't help but think this parallel was intentional. But just like the kink, it's that much more gratifying when you get what you're waiting for ;)Absolutely recommend to fans of the first book. I preferred this to the first book, so even if you were on the fence with that one, read this. For those who haven't read book 1, this is NOT a standalone.

Perfect story!
I love, love the conclusion of this series but feel Joseph could have stretch this to three book. The problem is , Joseph isn't your typical writer. In this book we see that Wes is the ying to Grifts yang. They are undeniable (no pun intended) meant to be together and through the pages you can feel the love and strong commitment to each other. This book left me exhausted - it is so emotionally charged that you are vested through the very end to love them the way they love each other. This is a story of not only love but redemption. Joseph is such a talented writer a master storyteller. The vocabulary is exquisite and the story is just beautiful. Prepare to go on an emotional roller coaster...you will laugh out loud, and cry your heart out. This is a story that challenges your feelings and nurture your heart. Kudos Joseph you have done it again.

Heartfelt, Complex, Beautiful
It's not often I come across "A Perfect Book" In all my 30+ years of being an avid reader, I can probably list 15 books that have had a deeply profound effect on me. Two of those books are not only by the same author but in the same series. Grif's Toy and Wes's Denial.I felt honoured to read them humbled even that i was allowed a glimpse into Wes and Grif's lives. Wes's Denial is written from the heart both characters are complex and unique finding their missing links in the other. I celebrated their high's, felt the pain of their lows and carried the weight of their guilt with them. Willing them to communicate to be truly open, be who they are for themselves and each other. Wes and Grif are selfless in their giving and receiving, supporting, encouraging and loving of each other.Wes's Denial is a book i didn't ever want to finish and just like the rest of the book the ending is Perfect. I'm probably the only person who smiled and had a warm glow, getting a sense of peace, love and devotion, feeling the true respect they have for each other.Till the most dreaded words in any book THE END.........

WOW! A magnificent follow-up to Grif's Toy.
Now I absolutely loved book 1, but with respect this sequel just kicked its a$$. As the title would suggest, we get to see Wes’ POV this time round, and jeez is that man sinfully hot with one outrageously filthy mouth on him. His story is told through a series of flashbacks, letting the reader witness the evolution of his dominant side (which believe me isn't always pretty), and how far he's come from his reckless early days to the more controlled Dom he is with Grif. The BDSM scenes in this tale (of which there are many) can run to the extreme, as they're often brutal and even rather draining at times, but also insanely off the bloody richter hot (that kitchen scene at around 60% in?), and definitely not for the easily squicked. I adore reading about humiliation kink, as the sheer trust it takes to hand over that kind of power to another and know they won't abuse it, never ceases to fascinate me. And the way in which Wes can seamlessly switch from vanilla to chocolate and back again - signalling whether or not he's in Dom mode – is a complete mindf***, simultaneously making him tender one minute and a true sadist the next – oh yeah, no doubt about it, Grif’s a lucky guy. If it’s a fluffy D/s relationship you're after, where some insipid, bratty sub gets a bit of a spanking….then I'd strongly advise against this book. On the other hand, if you wanna read a deliciously twisted, thought-provoking and even educational tale with one of the most bittersweet and beautiful epilogues ever (NO SPOILERS)….then have at it.

Wow! What a great ride!
Although I’ve had some reservations with Grif’s Toy (ref. a character who already left the plot), Wes’ Denial was a much anticipated story to me. I finished book 1 totally invested in Wes and Grif’s story. So, I have to confess that I felt a bit disappointed when the story barely started and Grif decided to disappear for two bloody months. It made me think that the story would be filled with unnecessary drama regarding Grif’s insecurities. Thank Lord, I was wrong! Soon, Marcus Grif woke up for life and stopped resisting Wes.From there on Wes’ Denial become an amazing journey. Their relationship has evolved slowly, with lots of talk where the guys had the chance to know each other and most important, in these conversations they worked out their kinky as a couple. Something that was big for both of them.Grif had a deep need for denial and humiliation and his small d@ck was the thing that allowed his masochistic pleasure to bloom.Wes was a sadist who loved to torment and see Grif in tears.Summing it up, they were made for each other. Both guys were incredible portrayed, giving a real feel to the story. But, a big BUT, Wes stole the show. Wes was a force to be reckoned with. He had a way to deal with Grif that has done my head in, like thisTreating Grif with a steady hand, being strong for them both as a friend, as a husband and as a DOM. At the same time being so careful and treating Grif’s as if he was something very delicate and precious. Wes disarmed me completely. I find so rare to find a story in this genre where the author has the ability to transmit to me as a reader, the beauty of this balance.Besides the fascinating story about Grif and Wes, the author gave us chapters about Wes’s past. These chapters have left me in awe. They were like parallel short stories and at the end of each of them I was craving for more, like an addict . The characters that made part of Wes past came to make a strong impression. And their job they did! It took Wes’ Denial to another level of greatness. To meet Phillip, Conrad, Paul, Henrik and Thomas Marcani was my absolutely pleasure. Thank you so much, Mr Tonlet, for this gift.I am ignoring the epilogue!Wes Denail is a brilliant read!

Absolutely totally amazing x
So...I have four authors who have broken me...Now I have to add a fifth....Joseph Lance Tonlet.....Wes' Denial is one of the best books I have read this year.....I've waited a long time for the follow up to Grif's Toy and this is done perfectly......I love Grif...He is just the most amazing man I have read....Wes I loved more in this one than the last....I think he proved himself so much in his love for Grif.....This book will break you in parts....The way Wes and Grif are together is a given....The humiliation, the caging is something that Grif needs and loves.....I loved Gage and Quinn, Wes' friends...Gage and Grif together are beautiful even though it's only short.....We get to find out about Wes' past in this one and boy he sure was a harsh person in the beginning.......Paul and Henrik especially.....Paul I think goaded Wes but Henrik I did feel sorry for.......This book takes you on a further journey with Wes and Grif and their beautiful relationship......But...and this is a heartbreaking but...That ending...omg....That is what broke me.....This is a beautiful story of love and pure hedonistic pleasure between two men who love each other so much......A book that cannot be missed....Now i'm going out to buy more tissues and stock up on some strong drink x

It’s incredibly intimidate and intense. Overwhelmingly erotic and enormously sensual.
I’m not sure what appealed to me most about Wes and Grif but the essence of the book focuses on their dynamic so perhaps I’ll start with that. For me the many contradictions between their states of ‘vanilla’ and ‘chocolate’ was extremely erotic. That Grif is such a successful businessman in his public life yet seeks something that humiliates and degrades him from his lover is fascinating. The author depicts their individual needs and circumstances with clarity; sensitivity and respect while conversely makes them erotic, dirty, debasing and extreme. This is undoubtedly a story of love and adoration but sometimes realised in an unconventional way. Wes craves the darker side yet revels in showering Grif with affection and protection. It works for them and this is their story. It’s incredibly intimidate and intense. Overwhelmingly erotic and enormously sensual. I found it emotional and without giving anything away, unexpected and heart wrenching at times. Overall though, the skill of the author means that this book was an amazing reading experience. Joseph Lance Tonlet writes beautifully and I look forward to reading more of his work in the future.
