This is really a fun project for kids to do has a lot of learning growth potential, the quality of it is great and the lights are beautiful and it's a great value for your money I fully recommend

Given that this product wasn’t very expensive, I was worried the quality might leave something to be desired, but I need not have worried. My 7-year old took so much pride in setting up this terrarium. From layering the growing base, to planting the seeds, to decorating with the figures and stickers, to watering it daily — this has been a hit. I sat near him, but he pretty much was able to do it all on his own while I helped him read the instructions. The seeds started to grow in about two days, and weeks later, we even have to trim the plants inside otherwise the lid won’t fit because they have grown so much. The lid light charges with USB, so we plug it in during the day and unplug at night, and turns itself off after the battery drains and make for a nice nightlight just while he’s falling asleep. I was looking for something that could compete with screen time, and this did the trick — during setup anyhow. I think it would make a super cute bday gift for a girl or boy. It’s cute enough that I kind of want my own for my room. Am I jealous? Heh. Maybe a little, but that makes my kiddo like it all the more.

My only complaints are that the light does not turn on while plugged in to charge and the plastic piece used to cover the charging port is not attached. It comes completely off and is easily thrown away. If you leave the piece off, then the light switch doesn't work.

My son received two terrariums for Christmas. The other terrarium, that shall remain unnamed, was a complete disaster. I’d include pictures but I don’t want you to think that garbage fire has anything to do with this beauty. This one was far better quality, the instructions were more clear on planting and how many seeds to plant. It came with enough materials to decorate and plant. I highly recommend this guy to anyone. The nightlight works great. You could leave it plugged in or charge before using it. Get this for your kids they’ll love it and it’s a cute addition to the window.

My younger son is on the Autism spectrum and we put thIs together with him one night. He had fun adding the base layers of dirt, rock and sand, then planting the seeds themselves. We have him water it every day and put it in direct sunlight. This photo was taken just a week and a half after we planted. It does exactly what the instructions say it will do.

It comes with everything you need and the seeds are easy to grow and do so quickly, so it's great for any impatient children. Seeds were sprouting after about 24 hours. However there is no drainage in the container. Roots were rotting within a couple weeks.

Got this for my 5 year old and he loved it! It was easy enough for him to do without too much assistance and it’s so cute. Highly recommend!

First of all, it includes everything that you need to have a learning experience along with stickers and figurines to make it fun! Kids learn REAL science as they grow their own mini-garden, and they can watch it grow night or day since it includes a night light. This terrarium kit is a family-fun activity that teaches the wonder of nature and eco-systems in a hands-on way.

I bought this for my grandson who is six and it was a big hit.

The product came without any light under the lid at all. So it's quite a disappointment. The child only realised it after setting up the terrarium. So we could not return it.
