I love this kayak battery box and electric connectors.. I have several suggestions to improve your ratings: 1. Color-code the brass pins with an orange and black sharpies. Sometimes it takes a while for your customers to realize we have to insert the electric connector to match up the wiring. 2. A little reminder note to insert the appropriate fuse would be a time saver for customer troubleshooting. 3. It would be helpful to provide customers with some kind of tapered diameter rubber insert for the gasket to offer strain relief and additional waterproofing at the gasket. Users could trim to the appropriate outer cable diameter. Some of the fish finder wiring (like the popular Garmin 4’s) are too small and fragile without extra work to custom install shrink tubing to offer similar protection.

It's probably "waterproof" and may even survive an explosion. If you want to use it as anchor, it'll do that too because I'm pretty sure it won't float when loaded with a battery. The price is certainly a rip off, and the return label requires me to pay the postage after discovering that DESPITE labeling itself "kayak" it is certainly NOT LIGHT WEIGHT. Ok they did disclose "elephant" so if your kayak is 200 feet long with a 20 foot beam, no sweat.It was mailed (Priority Mail to skirt the "free shipping" illusion) with no packing. However, the damage sustained by the packing box was the damage done from the interior as this "elephant" was stomping around inside on its way here.If you kayak and especially if you kayak-FISH, then WEIGHT MATTERS due to the necessity to launch your kayak from somewhat remote shorelines. Not only is this product suspect, but its vendor is not on my repeat list.Let the buyer BEWARE (ie, Caveat Emptor)

This case is perfect for my kayak battery. Very rugged build similar to pelican cases I used when I was in the military. It has several tie down points that I can use to attach it to my kayak so I don't have to worry about losing it if I happen to flip over in rough water.One connection for my fishfinder and the other one for my navigation lights. Came with three male connectors so I can use the third connector to put on my portable pump to wash down my gear and rinse off the kids if no showers are available.For anyone that is having problems with the wiring, use the orange wire with the fuse for your positive (+) connection and the black wire for your negative (-) connection to the battery. If you have a multimeter you can check the connections so that male connector pins line up with the correct terminals so that battery polarity isn't reversed for whatever electronic device you're trying to power.

This is a great box if you're looking for a fish graph box. Holds battery with some space so the wires don't get pinched. Definitely waterproof and has been handy so far going on my kayak trips. I have a 7AH 12v battery that I've been using with it. Will also say it seems very durable. Luckily I haven't had to test how durable yet but it's a solid case.

Whoever designed this box, thought of the inevitable. The shape, size, and conformity to boating use is amazing! IT WORKS! There is safe, secure connections that actually improved the function of my devices. It protects the battery and actually prolongs its power. Five stars!

Well this thing looks legit. Haven't used it yet. Came with no instructions. Emailed these people and said it's basic needs no instructions. Gave me a number to call if I needed help. One star rating from me because of that. If someone can help me figure out the simple wirinf, please let me know. Thank you.

Easy wiring and seems well build. Did not put battery in it as this was a gift.

This is is a fantastic battery box for kayaks, I actually use it to power my depth/sonar on my jet river boat.
