A durable, convenient good deal.
I purchased 4 of these for a weeklong trip to the FL Keys over New Years. I read numerous reviews -- many of which talked about cheap quality, etc...and I was a bit hesitant to pull the trigger....but did. I have to say, not only are these perfect to stash in a carry on bag for a flight, but they hold up remarkably well. All four rods were in use for 6-7 hours a day (for a week) off a dock in Islamorada and well over 300 fish were landed, mostly Mangrove Snapper and Bluestripped Grunt as well as a 16-inch Barracuda. Most of the fish were in the 1 lb range though we did pull in several dozen in the 1.5-2 lb range....and a few that were slightly larger. No issues with broken tips, etc. The attached photos were taken the day we started packing up. None of the 4 rods suffered any sort of malfunction. Clearly, you won't be reeling in a 45-lb Tarpon with these rods.....but they stand up well when you are fishing for the smaller guys.

Absolutely perfect for travel or just a couple extra poles
Absolutely perfect for travel or just a couple extra poles. Was skeptical before buying but...Took a couple of these to Kauai, Hawaii for shore fishing. Worked awesome.

well built, great feel and looks great too!
Great rod for the price, can't wait to go try it out. Well built and I love the extendable handle also, it adds just that little extra to put the package over the top!

Quick delivery and quality for the $
Quality rod - great for kayak or hiking in to lakes or creeks. All the sections lock together well. All eyes in good shape - reel fits secure to rod. Fits in my 32leter backpack with reel, takes up very little room. Review later after I use it some.

It's just OK.
This is a lightweight rod. Around 10g (3/8oz) max lure weight; it did NOT like being casted with a 28g (1oz) Kastmaster, so the 20-40gr is an exaggeration. Probably a 5lb-10lb rod at best. It fished OK with the following setup:Shimano 2500 Sienna10lb braid main4.5m 12lb mono topshot3/8 oz KastmasterDrag was set to about 2lbs (measured by spring scale). Max casting distance with the 3/8 oz Kastmaster was around 20-30yds. Would probably do better with a 4-8lb mono topshot instead.Caught 1 spotted bay bass (9 in), 1 mackeral (10 in), and 1 jacksmelt (11 in) in the rod's first session out.Definitely compact. Durability is questionable...does not feel as solid as any Balzer or DAM telescopic rods, but it's 1/2 the price of any of those equivalents. If the Pisfun was lost or broken while traveling it would be definitely less painful than losing a Balzer or DAM rod.
