Viking in Love (Viking I, 8) Mass Market Paperback – January 26, 2010

Another humorous love story by Sandra Hill. Breanne, daughter of King Thorvald of Stoneheim in the Norselands and her three sisters have gone to visit another sister, Vana. Upon their arrival, they discover that Vana has been physically abused by her husband, Oswald, earl of Havenshire, as a matter of fact, they walk in on him whipping their sister. Taking matters in hand, they all take part in getting rid of Oswald (after Tyra stabs him) and are assisted in disposing of the body in a novel manner by Rashid, Arab friend of Tyra's husband, Adam. They purpose to play nonchalant and conspire with stories and faked worry over Oswald's absence; however their plans go awry when Archbishop Dunstan, King Edgar's closest advisor, is expected due to Oswald's disappearance. They all decide that they need to vacate the premises and therefore show up at the door of a distant kin of Adam's, Caedmon of Larkspur. Upon arrival at Larkspur, they find chaos; a dirty castle, numerous dirty children running amok, lazy servants, no decent food and the lord of the castle, Caedmon, still in bed. The sisters take everything in hand to correct the problems; Breanne confronts Caedmon right off and thus begins their stormy relationship. I really enjoy Sandra Hill's Viking series and this is no exception; I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys lighthearted romance.

Again, a great read , kept me smiling through the whole story. I always look forward to the next Viking escapade.

Okay, so if you're one of those historical readers that are very mindful of the speak, you will hate this completely. You'll read a lot of terms used in contemporary novels within the speak of the characters but that did not detract from the story. The hero is solid, the heroine is like-able and sensible. This is a comedy thru and thru, and that made it so enjoyable. There are some sexy scenes, so you get your fill. i would say an 7.5 on the sensuality side and it wasnt all roll your eyes corny. The supporting characters in the book are fabulous and the children had me laughing out loud at one point with their "Victory" shouts. It was great, fun, easy reading. I cant wait for another book by this author, hopefully on Wulf!

I have read this entire series, and now I’m revisiting these wonderful characters and their escapades yet again. I’m having so much fun.

I absolutely love Sandra Hill's Viking princess books!! they're murder comedy love and family oriented books that I've read at least 4 times each.Breanne the woodwork; tyranny the warrior; Ingrith the cook; vans the cleaner; & drifa the gardener. each princess has their own story and this is the second one about Brenner falling in love with caedmon. he has 10 kids and has no desire to remarry but that doesn't stop him from bedding a Viking princess:) the Viking king also has a great sense of humor. I really enjoy her books and recommend all the Viking princess books by Sandra Hill

Sandra Hill does not disappoint! Fantastic book. I thought this was the first book in a new series..but find out it is actually the 8th book in the Viking I series. I will go back to the begin ing of the series and continue to read while awaiting the. next book in the Deadly Angels series. Another fantastic series filled with romance, adventure and lots of humor. Love those Vangels!! (Vampire/Angels) ..

I do love a book with humor. And from the five Princeses killing and disposing of the body of The vile Lord of Havenshire to the Lord Caedmon Vast number of children banding together to get themselves a mother, in one of the four princesses, this story supplies surprise after surprise.

Exciting, rich with historical detail and good story line, also a lot of comedy. I had trouble putting it down. Very sexy!
