I've found a lot of weighted blankets that were 5 pounds and others that were 10-15 pounds. This weighted blanket it the perfect mid weight between the 2. My 7 year old LOVES this blanket and asks for it every night. The length is from about mid chest to the end of a twin bed, and the width is about the top of the twin bed (without hanging down the sides). The only downfall is that the pattern on this blanket is sideways, which annoys this Type-A mom. The animal faces are looking sideways instead of top to bottom. But, I can totally overlook that because this blanket has been a life-saver! My daughter describes it as giving her a hug, but not squishing her. If you're looking for a weighted blanket for a child that's between the very small weights and sizes and the larger ones, this is a great find!

It's extremely durable the stitching is top notch not one stich has come undone even after hundreds of washes. It's the best thing I've ever bought for my child who won't sleep unless I'm holding him. I even got one for my dog and he loves sleeping with it covering him. I literally love everything about this blanket. I only wish it came with a washable cover. You can't beat the price though.

was looking for a weighted blanket for my son for a while. this was the third I bought. the first a different one came broken. this company is amazing. the right weight came and the design is really cute. as soon as my son put the blanket on he like melted!

I received a weighted blanket for Christmas and my son loved it. It was too heavy for him so I wanted to find a blanket that was good for his weight. This blanket was perfect! The weight is just enough so that he can feel comforted by it but not so heavy that he can't move it himself. He is 5 years old and has sensory processing disorder. It has helped him sleep so much. The only downside to the blanket is it doesn't have a washable cover. I just bought a cover for it so it is easier to clean. With that being said the blanket is still worth 5 stars! I highly recommend this blanket!

I bought this for my very nervous dog. He is afraid of everything and shakes really bad when he is scared. It really did seem to calm him down. I decided to do this when my sister used a weighted blanket to calm her German Shepherd down when it was storming really bad.

I bought it for my autistic child who has anxiety, it does help calm him down and the price is reasonable and color is vivid, I greatly recommended thiis blanket for children with autism..
