I would recommend it
I've been taking Muscle Pharm Assault for a couple of months now. I have tried the grape and green apple flavors as well. They are all tolerable but Raspberry Lemonade is by far the best. I only take the half scoops as my workouts are not very intense and don't last more than an hour. My goals are more about fat loss rather than strength. I've noticed I am more focused during the workout and there is a slight pump. My results have been great. I've lost about 14 pounds and not lost the muscle mass. I also was on a strict diet and 5 days a week weight program (2 day cardio). This was stacked with MusclePharm's Combat Powder and multi-vitamins/fish oil.Positives: Taste (Raspberry Lemonade), results, priceNegatives: Often creates bowel movement right after consumption, some of the flavors leave a chemical aftertaste (green apple, grape)This is the only pre-workout supplement I have ever taken so I can't speak on others but this gets the job done. I was satisfied with my results but I would like to try other products b/c of the stomach issues.

Great product!
I started using this today and as some stated before there is a little nausea that comes after about 45 minutes to an hour after consumption. I think this for me though was because I had not eaten very recently and it really only lasted for a few minutes and after taking a short break I was fine. The taste is great, and it really made me focus and stay with the workout. The product also suggests you drink a lot of water when taking it, about a gallon or more a day and I think that in turn helped with the very limited stomach problems I experienced. The serving also seems a little large so if you do have some problems you could cut back on the powder when mixing, and do not shake it will clump, it tells you this on the package.Overall a good product that I think would be better if the serving was a little smaller, the drink had tons of flavor for the recommended mix.

Good but better choices
-I choose this pre-workout because it's affordable and has decent reviews.-I'm very much a fan of the flavor that comes with Muscle Pharm products, but the quality is all I really care about.-However the actual powder of this particular pre-workout was very dusty in the sense that by just opening the container a cloud of pre-workout would meet my face or even pouring it into a drink i found that some of the pre-workout was lost in the air.-In terms of this pre-workout's performance i give it 3/5 stars and that's because it gives me an awesome rush and pump, but the amount of focus I had wasn't greater I found myself with a lot of energy I didn't know what to do with, which brings me to my final discrimination that would be the crash. I personally take 1 scoop maybe a lil more and I get bad crashes sometimes it could just have to do with how many carbs or food i've eaten that day so i suggest using this when you've gotten some food in ya.-I recommend this product to someone starting out and wants to see what pre-workout is, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone serious about supplements.

Great pre-workout drink, lots of energy, yet won't keep you awake when ready for bed.
I've been using this product for about 8 months now and love it. I had to cut back a little on the serving size because it made me jittery. I've tried many pre-workout supplements and stopped using all of them because of one very simple reason -- I workout at night and didn't want a supplement that interrupted my sleep. I found that all other drinks I was using induced sleeplessness, or caused me to get up and use the bathroom multiple times during the night. This one doesn't cause any of that, which is why I continue to use it. I also use it before I do mud runs like the Tough Mudder or 5K races. The only negative is that I don't like the taste that much. I have the Blue Raspberry flavor and I find it very sweet with the artificial sweeteners.

Motivation in powder form
I've lifted somewhat irregularly for the past 15 years and I never used any supplements except for protein powders. A special forces roommate suggested Assault, so I finally got around to trying it, and I'm really glad that I did. I've taken 1/2 scoop so far on 4 workouts. My initial strength is not affected much (if any), but my strength on each set lasts a LOT longer and my interval cardio is seriously boosted. It increases my energy level but without jitters like caffien, and so I get more motivated to lift stuff and do things that are physically challenging, which is why it is like motivation in powder form.I also noticed the tingling feeling from the Beta-Alanine (2g per 1/2 scoop), which is normal but didn't bother me. I read up no bodybuilding.com that the Beta-Alanine is best combined with about 7g/taurine per day for best results - certainly worth looking into for more serious people. For now, I'm happy with what this stimulant does for me. Good stuff - the raspberry lemonade is good enough with enough water added.
