Q: how much alcohol is recovered? 100%? Does the concentrated oil taste of alcohol? (Dispensary bought oil I tried had strong alcohol taste. Does this?)

Thank you for your question. About 95% of the ethanol is recovered. The other 5% is lost to spillage, other condensation, and venting when the vac pumps run. There is no ethanol flavor if done properly. Its possible if the dispensary product tasted bad it was made with isopropyl instead of food grade ethanol. Q: Does it smell during the process?

The odor from the machine while processing is almost zero. The unit works under vacuum and contains almost all of the vapor inside of the machine so nearly nothing makes it our until you open the machine.

Q: Are separate replacement parts sold?

Yes. Their customer service is excellent.

Q: Does the teflon touch the extract?

The entire inside of the cup is covered by a coating. It is important not to damage this lining. so I would say your answer is yes.
