Taking "bang for buck" to a whole new level!
I can't believe there are no reviews here. Wellp, here's mine, fwiw. I'm no purist audiophile, nor highly experienced engineer. However, I have a good deal (10-15 yrs) of general/practical pro audio/video experience that I have no way of demonstrating, so weigh my 2 cents accordingly.TL;DR: These are definitely solid, premium speakers on the cheap. They sound delightful (even in an acoustically crappy room), they look great, and get LOUD. They've handled anything I've thrown at them with grace and power: gaming, music, movies, tv, radio, etc.The PA-6F tower speakers are so good, I didn't even realized that the sub wasn't working at first, during my initial set up, which blew my mind. I never could have imagined that a couple of 6" drivers could hit so hard...the 8Fs are probably where it's at, though.I went with the Yamaha RX-V675 receiver, which I also love. I think it's 90/95W per channel, and has no problem making my ears ring from 10ft away with these speakers....and this amp is technically underpowering them. The sub is crisp and powerful; very well matched for this kit. My first sub was DOA, but once resolved, it puts a huge grin on my face every day. Only criticism I can give it is that the claimed 25hz response may be a little gracious.. You can FEEL it pretty strong all the way to 20hz, but as far as what you can actually perceive tonally from it, I'd say 28-30hz is closer to where it really starts to kick in (or could be my room or my ears). The PA-6S speakers are very capable as well, and contribute to a very impressive surround image. I don't know for sure if they're di or bipole, but they get the job done, with a very impressive frequency response and loudness, for their size. All in all, for the price, you're just not going to do any better. I am extremely pleased with this purchase!
