Does the concealed carry pouch close with Velcro? Is the inside of the concealed carry pouch have a way to hold a firearm?

This is more of a briefcase than a CC bag. You can certainly carry a gun in it but there is not any Velcro or molle attachment points. I have seen 5.11 tactical backpacks that have what you are looking for.

Does this convert to backpack carry?

No, it does not. Hand or shoulder carry only. I can carry the case under my arm; low back; front, etc.

What are the inside dimensions of the large compartment?

I don't have it anymore because I returned it on the first day. I own a 17 inch laptop and it would not fit in the bag. It was like trying to stuff ten pounds of flour in a 5 pound sack. Sorry I don't have specific dimensions.
