A Great UV Light, Very Bright
Hey Amazon Shoppers. I just want to add a few more words from what "The After Life Hunters Paranormal" review said. Plus share some info with all the Ghost Hunters out there. I am using this UV light on a Full Spectrum Video Camera along with an added IR light as well. I believe the UV light only really works good on a Full Spectrum camera because it records the full color frequencies where ghost are said to be hiding in. I have NOT yet used this light outside yet but the IR light I have, and it really only works good walking through trails NOT in wide open areas. Stick to using them inside. The lights DO NOT come with a bracket but the link I added below is a very good one, which I am still using and might be buying more. A huge must have and a great idea is head to Radio Shack like I did and buy yourself some rechargeable 9v batteries. They said a normal 9v battery will last 6-9 hours non stop. A rechargeable can hit about 12 hours non stop. That is a great add-on/upgrade. But yeah so far the light is working great for me. I don't have any reason to buy anymore at this time because I only have one Full Spectrum video camera. I will also add the links for the camera I have and the bracket plus the other IR light I have. Hope this helps you out.[...] ePhoto C002 Handheld Stablizer with 2 Hotshoe Adapter Phantom Lite Infrared Illuminator Night Vision Remember Get Some Rechargeable 9v Batteries.. It's OK
When I was ordering this product, I wish that I had known what they meantby "tripod connector" though becauseI thought it was the actual bracket, not a hole in the illuminator. Outside the light shines pretty far but my camera(hopefully it is only the camera that I have) isn't powerful enough to pick up the light at the distance it shines. I am,however, able to see it VERY well inside a building in a dark room(which I believe it was intended for), but outside, I could only see ~5'-10' and have to use my camera light to assist the illuminator. Lastly, if you do NOT have the bracket, you either have to buy one for around $10-~$25 or,what I did was cut off the head of a screw that fit the camera tripod hole in order to connect the cam to the illuminator, but the illuminator was in the way.If you are going to order this product, I am not saying you shouldn't, it is a GREAT product except for what I previously stated, I recommend you purchase a bracket too. Thanks for reading,TheAfterLifeHunters[.webs.com] Paranormal(The After Life Hunters Paranormal)

Ready to purchase again-
I'm a long time amateur photographer, that just recently stepped into the world of IR/UV photography. I use a converted full spectrum Canon 20D with the (25 light)Phantom Lite Ultraviolet Illuminator and the (25 light)Phantom Lite Infrared Illuminator mounted side-by-side on a StroboFrame attached to my camera. During a recent all night lock-in at the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum I shot several hundred "in the dark" photos and both Phantom lights worked very well. The UV Illuminator did extremely well at fully lighting a standard 10x12 room and did an adequate job of lighting extremely long hallways. The IR Illuminator did equally well in both scenarios. Both Illuminators mounted securely to the flash frame with the adaptors that were provided. During a full night of usage, I did not need to change the battery in either light. I'm quite pleased with the construction and the functionality of these lights! The Phantom Lights enabled me to capture some awesome pictures!!! I definitely consider this a good value purchase and will purchase a second set to use for stationary lighting. Many Thanks!!!!

Phantom lite for Short Distance
This light is bright and is good for distance of less than 40 feet. It's great for searching buildings at night. For something that will illuminate a further distance outside at night, be prepared to shell out a hundred bucks or more. I have check the infrared gadgets out there and you can get greater distance. A distance of 200-300 feet is about $250 or more! So, I plan on purchasing one for a distance of 300-600 feet. Which will cost some bucks. I like seeing things from a long distance at night time. I

Nice full spec ight
The Light is more one direction then flood but given the build of it I could tell that it was going to be that way and I am ok with that . as with any light of this type I just top mount and side mount one. The light field has pretty good clarity and meets the 45ft distance or very close as it says. (based on strength of battery as battery gets used the range will drop off over time ) has a good period of use for just using a 9v battery. I would have prefered a Shoe mount instead of the screw mount It does not come with this but that is a easly changed out This is a good light deff worth its money.

Have mounted and tested....
But not fully utalized it yet, can't seem to find someone or a group that goes hunting for ghosts. This puts out lots of light so it confuses me sometimes since I watch both Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures who utalize different methods, if it is usefull in blackout conditions. It does put out visible light, I guess you could call it inexperience but the product is well made and the package is perfect for its size.

decent light
I am the tech manager for a paranormal group. I bought this light to compliment a night vision camera I have (IR). The light came with some sort of screw in thing for the bottom of it but I have yet to find it's purpose. It came with no instructions. I had to buy an adapter so I could fit it on the hot shoe on my camera bracket.

Very Good
This is a very good illuminator. I am so glad I went for this one instead of the less expensive one I was going to get. In order to get a wide range of light you may want to get two of them though. I took night vision shots of my hotel room in Gettysburg, and found I could have used another light for the parts of the room that the light couldn't reach
