Use this product! Bach slide gel.
Excellent slide lubricant. Applied to all of my several tuba sldes, and they’re all working smoothly, yet they stay in place as they are adjusted. The product comes in a squeeze bottle labeled “gel” which is more accurate than the description I saw when I ordered it, which said slide “grease”. It’s easy to apply and a couple of dabs (not drops) are adequate for each slide tube. This will last me a long time.

Excellent product
I really like this product it is much easier to grease the tuning slides. It is easier to apply compared to the cream style grease. They make the slides work with ease. So far it seems to last a decent time, although, I could see it not lasting as much as the more solid grease. Mostly because this is in liquid form but I could be wrong. It is a top quality product from Bach, that I use on my Stradivarius.

Absolutely stellar product, 11/10. The only thing that I let touch my horns.
I have been using this product for almost two decades now - it is unmatched and works GREAT for both woodwind corks (clarinet) AND brass tuning slides (trumpet/horn). The bottle contains a large amount of product and works so well that you really do not need to apply as frequently as you do other greases.

Works great on brass instrument slides.
As a retired band teacher of 40 years, an instrument repair tech for the past 30 years I highly recommend this product! Band Directors…Before packing those instruments up for the summer pull all the slides out and leave them in the case. When the new year starts at least wipe the slides with a good rag then areapply the lubricant!

Greasier than expected.
This slide grease is great for tuning slides but is very thick. Be VERY conservative with how much you put on any slides that you need to move while playing. I used it on my trumpet and the 1st and 3rd slides were quite slow initially. After oiling the valves a few times the slides worked perfectly. I'm assuming that is because it mixed with the valve oil. I will probably buy this again for my horn, but my son hates it for his.

Best slide lube over everything else on the market.
As a French Horn and Trumpet player for over 30 years, this is the ONLY slide lube that I use, and I own and have tried probably 5 other slide greases, from OEM Yamaha to Monster and others. This stuff is amazing and I'm really glad they still make it.

Favorite slide grease for over three decades!
I am a professional trumpet player. I have played trumpet for over 40 years and have also been teaching for decades. I’m very pleased that my 15-year-old son is now also a trumpet player. I bought the slide grease for him as a stocking stuffer. It’s always been my preferred grease for non-kick slides (tuning slide, second valve slide). It’s nice and thick and does not need to be reapplied between cleanings. (Well, I guess that depends on how often you clean your trumpet! I try to do mine about once a month. ) Since it’s very thick, It could work well on Kikick k slides, but I usually add a little bit of valve oil to dilute.

This stuff is THICK.
I've owned and played a Bach since 8th grade (yes, graduation present) and when I saw this, I decided I needed to try it. The bottle is nice, with the locking cap and the application is well controlled due to both the small hole in the applicator tip and the thickness of the grease. A very little bit goes a long way. I'm not sure I will ever be able to use this bottle up. Due to its thickness, it is great for the tuning slide but is too thick for my 1st and 3rd valve slides to "kick out" while playing. I tried adding valve oil to my valve slides and cannot get it thin enough to be able to use while playing. I give it a 5 star because it is properly labeled as tuning slide grease, not slide grease. If you need a grease for anything besides your tuning slide and want to be able to move your valve slides while playing, you will need a different grease.
