Digicom PMA-5041 Universal Flat Mount/40-70

I bought this wall mount for my 70" Sharp Aquos LC-70C8470U. I did my research ahead of time to make sure the VESA bolt-spacing of my TV was compatible with this mount. It fit perfectly. The mount comes with several screw sizes so you will find a set compatible with your TV. Included are also some plastic stands that allow the TV to be mounted farther away from the wall if needed. I did not end up using those as the 1 inch space was enough to run cables to the wall plate I installed below the wall mount. Most TV's will have the audio/video connectors below the horizontal wall bracket. I opted for this wall mount thinking I was going to make a hole in the wall in one of the 4 cut-outs, but that was not the case. I was able to install this unit on 3 studs, by shifting it a few inches from the center of the room. Once installed to the wall, the TV will slide about 6 inches to the left/right so you can center it to your liking. Altogether I'm very happy with this product. It can hold twice the weight of my TV.One thing I recommend is to use a real level instead of relying on the built in one, as that is not reliable.

The quality and build of this product is actually excellent. It mounted very easily and is nice and level. It has a bit of a foot print, but really feels secure. It comes with a security bar, but I just couldn't get it to fit in there, so that is a reason I gave it four stars.The only thing I would encourage you to consider is that it is a PAIN to attempt to access your TV to connect wires and make changes. I always have to call a neighbor or friend over to help me remove my TV if I ever need to make a change back there. It also would be nice to tilt my screen down a hair, but I've honestly gotten over that quickly. There are spacers that come with the pieces that mount to the back of your TV and I understand that they can't be too extended for security reasons, but the pieces are only just over an inch or so wide. Therefore, a lot of my wires plugged into the back of my TV are sort of smashed up against the wall. All in all though, if you don't anticipate needing to move the TV or check on things or make changes hardly at all (almost ever for that matter) then you will be extremely satisfied with this mount. If you find yourself making changes in the back as many as a couple of times a year even, if you don't have help in your household to lift the TV off and make the changes, it may be worth it to get one that can swing out or something.

I second all of the positive reviews written about this product. I purchased it and it arrived the day before my new Sharp Aquos LC60LE847U arrived. The mount is just as solid as the one that was on sale for $149 at the TV store. I had it mounted into two studs in no time. The hardware that comes with the mount was perfect and there was absolutely every possible bolt, washer or spacer that I would ever imagine would be needed for a TV included.I do agree - DO NOT USE THE BUILT IN LEVEL. A nice touch, but you would be better off using your own, trusted level. The built in level was about 1/4 bubble off.I also saw in another review, and I agree with this, the "locking bar" that you put in after you've hung your TV is not meant to be removed...EVER. If I hadn't read that review, I would have stuck it in and would have to leave my TV in the house if we ever decide to move. I got it through the first set of hooks and realized that it was fitting way too snug. The TV hangs just fine and secure without the bar.My only suggestion is to hook up all of your cables (HDMI, AV, etc) before you hang the TV because there is no room between the TV and the wall once the TV is hanging.

I was looking for a non-tilt flat mount for a 55 inch Samsung LED. I didn't like those that had too much clearance or tilted. This mount went above the fireplace and was extremely flush against the wall as advertised. There is just enough clearance for the power cable and video cables. The TV itself actually holds up the extra slack since it is so close to the wall which works out nice.With this mount there really isn't room for a surge protector, even the compact ones they sell - so I replaced the outlet behind the TV with a Levitron outlet that has built-in surge protection which keeps everything clean with nothing showing. Installation looks awesome.About the built-in level - it is only about an inch wide. So no matter what quality, you should be using a longer level anyway (2-3 foot) when installing the mount to get the best results. Just pretend the built-in level isn't there and use a longer better one.

DO NOT TRUST THE BUILT IN LEVEL ON THIS PRODUCT. This product is perfect for the LED TV's because they don't need to be tilted. The problem is that this product comes with a built in level. After my husband mounted it with the 6 giant lag bolts we realized it was not level. He put a real level on the TV and it was off by half a bubble. From 1 side to the other that was about 1/2 inch off. He had to take the mount and TV back off the wall and remount it about an inch higher and this time he used his real level & it was perfect.I would buy this product again, but I wish someone would have told us that the built in level was off.

The only issue I had was the level that is on the mount is not accurate at all so you will definitely have to use your own. Other than that, very straight forward installation. You will definitely want to connect the wires to the tv before you mount it because there is negligible room after the tv is hanging. I knew that before purchasing though and that trade off is worth having a low profile against the wall. It comes with many different size bolts and is holding my 70inch 78lb tv just fine.

I was worried about some negative reviews on this item - But after installing the unit and using it - I think its a great mount for the price. There is only about 1/2" behind the screen , so make sure your wires fit. The screws that came with it fit my samsung 7100 but I had to use extra washers (they were too long). I did not use the integrated level but looked nice to me when i looked at for that brief second.
