holds a lot of weight, but it's fast and easy to use
there's not a whole lot that can be said about a carabiner that works...but i'll do my best!first off, this little feller is LIGHT! you really won't notice the additional weight of this carabiner on anything you pack out. this is key for anyone who's backpacking, climbing, or just trying to cut down on weight. second, it's STURDY! i'd be comfortable hanging a couple hundred pounds from a tree off this clip. third, it's designed WELL. ideally, you want to be able to attach / detach items from the carabiner while already under a load. the longer spine keeps the weight (and also, any cords or ropes holding the weight) away from the spring clip, allowing you to add or remove items without fighting what's already there.this carabiner doesn't "screw lock" or "screw gate" which might detract you. if you need that kind of security and added strength, look elsewhere. for backpacking, however, you don't want the extra hassle of messing with the screw. you want a speedy clip that holds securely, but is easy to negotiate. this clip holds true, but is easy to access and opens wide to easily accept large ropes.there are cheaper carabiners on the market, and there are also lower quality carabiners out there. if you want to go for the lower cost, you'll have to settle for the lower quality. this product is very well worth $10!disclaimer time: i was provided a free demo from the seller for testing and review purposes.

Works as advertised.
This company sent me this item for free to review. It works. I used it for a hammock that me and my gf used at same time and it had 0 problems. I also used it to latch heavy gear together, again with 0 problems. The screw threads are smooth and its on par with other carabiners I own. I'm not sure Id use it for climbing, especially with other more recognizable brands being cheaper with a higher rated strength. This one is rated at apron 2600lbs where as a black diamond I randomly clicked on was 5000lbs. My gf loves the color for whatever thats worth!
