Long-Lasting & Great Tone!
Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings โ The Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings are some of the best strings Iโve used. They offer a rich, warm tone and last significantly longer than most other brands, thanks to their Nanoweb coating. Pros: โ Fantastic Tone โ The phosphor bronze gives a warm, balanced sound with great clarity. โ Long-Lasting โ The Nanoweb coating helps prevent dirt and sweat buildup, making them last much longer than regular strings. โ Smooth Feel โ The coating provides a comfortable playing experience, reducing finger squeak. โ Great for Frequent Players โ Ideal for those who play often and donโt want to change strings frequently. Cons: โ Slightly Expensive โ Higher price than some competitors, but worth it for the longevity. โ Coated Feel Might Not Be for Everyone โ Some players prefer the texture of uncoated strings, but this comes down to personal preference. Final Verdict: If you want acoustic guitar strings that sound great, feel smooth, and last a long time, Elixir Phosphor Bronze is a top-tier choice. The price is higher, but the longevity and tone make them a fantastic investment. โ Worth every penny for the tone and durability!

Excellent strings with warm, bright tone!
I installed these Elixir Nanoweb 12-53 strings on my Yamaha acoustic guitar and the difference was immediate โ rich, full tone with just the right amount of brightness. They feel smooth under the fingers and stay in tune very well. The coating really helps reduce finger squeak and seems like it will extend the life of the strings. Perfect for both strumming and fingerpicking. Highly recommend for anyone who wants long-lasting, great-sounding acoustic strings.

Great strings for my electro-acoutstic
On HIS insistence, I had my luthier buddy throw a set of these on my electro-acoustic a week before a show (new strings and going from lt-med to extra-lt made me a bit nervous!). He was right! These are very nice strings. They have a clearer tone than the phosphor-bronze strings I was using. It's very noticeable. Also, since I'm used to playing with 10's on my electrics, I'm finding I can bend these with relative ease, granted I went down one notch, but part of it is definitely the strings. In particular, I found it much easier to play Alice In Chains unplugged leads with these strings. Sure, they're not as loud, but when you amp an electro-acoustic, all you have to do is turn up the volume, and they handled my heavy strumming and bending without breaking - haven't changed them in almost a month, playing 1/2hr every other night unplugged, with 2-3hrs on weekends, and they still sound fine. I'm cheap and lazy, and I don't generally care if my electroacoustic has fresh strings, just so long as it has 6 of them - lol! My luthier is a great guy - rescued this guitar from becoming kindling (I could not get the action down to save my life - stupid Guitar Center bait and switch! Play the nice guitar, take home the one tuned down 3 frets because the neck and bridge are so screwed-up - figure it out after the warranty is up!). Bottom line: These strings sound great for both leads and rhythms, hold-up very nicely, and you can play pretty hard on them without any breaking. I'm glad I bought them.

Noticeable change in sound from non-coated strings out the box, but seem settle quickly
These are probably going to be something you end up getting consistently if you donโt care about or canโt notice any significant difference in tone from regular non-coated strings. To me, it defeats the purpose of getting strings that last however much longer if the sound they have to begin with is this brassy, metallic, wholly unimpressive sound that seems to have nothing to do with the characteristics of the guitar anymore because itโs been covered by the coating. That isnโt to say itโs necessarily a bad thing, but you are NOT getting anywhere near the tonal richness and fitting feeling of the sound of an acoustic guitar on a classic record. These strings are for durability and practicality more than anything, but some people really just wonโt care as much or wonโt notice a difference enough to merit going back to strings that last maybe a week or two before it starts deteriorating and dulling significantly. Itโs a shame because I love the strings otherwise. They look so robust and shiny and even though theyโre a little stiffer and take some time getting used to, you can easily tell they are high quality and made with that โbuilt to lastโ mentality, which you gotta give it up to them for. Before assuming that these just wonโt sound good at all, I have heard that there is a kind of natural โplaying inโ and settling the strings have to go through after a bit of time before they start having some more familiar characteristic to them. Iโll see how that goes, but really I think one of the things I go for is an immediate sound that makes me want to play right after the restring. Right now it just feels kind of like a hollow sound to my guitar. Itโs a beautiful and amazing sounding Yamaha dreadnought, but whatever tonal characteristics that were present before when I used other strings, which were non-coated, they seem gone now or extremely hollow on account of the coating. Itโs a give and take and not something I can blame Elixir for as I imagine that the better the coating, the harder itโs going to be for that sweet classic acoustic sound to come through, and currently there isnโt a way around that, unfortunately. I have tried other strings that were treated to see if the compromise in no coating, but having some treatment to them would be a happy medium between preserving tone an also expanding how long the strings would last, but when I did, there was still a slightly off bit of reduced sound quality compared to those brand of non-coated strings, and the treatment didnโt seem to really hold up that much better, if at all, from the non-coated/non-treated strings of the same brand. I donโt know if these can be updated, but I hope to sit a while with these Elixirs because they are admittedly snazzy and slick. Slick as in cool, but also slick in feeling, as in I feel good about sliding up with ease. Robust would be the word for them, and Iโm just trying to see if theyโre like a new pair of shoes or something. Havenโt given up on the sound just yet, and Iโm hoping they can start to sound better before they start to degrade because that would be key. Please note that the coating does seem to provide a bit more rigidness than what you might expect from the same gauge of non-coated strings, so that is just something else to consider. Projection and volume does seem loud, but the zing really does feel either rounded off or like there is a natural ceiling to how much resonance can come through because of the protection. If youโre like me and you deal with gunk and buildup from your hands that accumulates pretty quickly on the strings, Iโd consider giving these ones a go. Definitely a great starting point, but weโll see if the sound quality improves into something that makes this sound better acoustically, or if the longevity of the strings will be great enough where the difference in sound doesnโt become that negative or unreasonable a factor anymore.

Good tone and long lasting
My go to strings for both my Guilds, Martin and Taylor guitars. Letโs face it most of us who play hate changing strings. It used to be that after a couple of months strings just sounded flat and needed to be changed. Elixir has solved that problem. I can get six months of decent sound out of these. Four acoustic guitars and changing strings every other month was not an option. The Elixir nano web coated strings are a game changer. I know some who donโt like the sound (they are few in number in my circle) but that is a preference not a criticism. If youโve never tried them I highly recommend you give them a shot.

Brilliance that last long
If you crave for a brilliant sound on your acoustic guitar, seek no more. These will keep their beloved sound for a way longer time than uncoated strings. As for the feeling, if you haven't tried coated strings yet, give it a go. You'll figure out whether you like them or not. It feels slippery compared to regular strings, especially in the first few days. I do like it, but you have to try for yourself!

It's ONE string!!!
I'm sure that Elixir strings are probably one of the better sounding and lasting strings out there but......... Twenty dollars plus for one string??? Naturally when you see this ad compared to the others for Elixir you think to yourself, must be a little bit better quality than the others do why not spend the extra couple bucks, right? Only to get the surprise of your life that it's one single string. Misleading graphic in advertising and less than adequate information in product description. Pays to read the fine print I guess. I did get a full refund though on the first string. I had ordered two of what I figured were "sets" at the same time but they came ten days apart. WTF?? My refund for the second string was only seventeen dollars. WTF Amazon?

A worthy upgrade!
Amazing feel, upgraded from Daddario and the difference is quite significant. The dynamic range of sound is unmatached to all the strings I've tried so far. These sound amazing right out of the box, and get better after a week or so. Quite smooth and easy on the fingers, that makes it much more fun to play. Highly recommended for someone looking for a warm and balanced sound on their guitar.

Consistent tone, long life, and great feel
Iโve been using these Elixir Phosphor Bronze Nanoweb strings on my acoustic guitar and they continue to impress. They have a warm, balanced tone right out of the pack with clear highs and a solid low end. The coated Nanoweb finish really does extend their life. They stay sounding fresh far longer than uncoated strings, which is a big plus if you play regularly or perform live. They also feel smooth under the fingers and are easy on the hands during longer sessions. Overall, these are reliable, great-sounding acoustic strings with excellent longevity. A go-to choice if you want consistent tone and fewer string changes.
